| Fairly close to Tulane on St. Charles Ave. Different in that not a chain hotel. |

| Hallways not air conditioned, but window air conditioners in the room. We had standard room with two beds. Rooms could use some fresh paint, but not so bad. Bathroom fausett leaked although not disturbing or annyoing; Computer in the lobby with high-speed internet available. No breakfast available except for coffee. Room was cleaned every day, beds made, vacuumed, etc. One interesting feature was having to park car in their hotel garage, which is literally a garage and not a downtown parking garage. The garage can fit about six cars and a boat. This garage about 1/2 block away from hotel entrance around the corner.

| Our room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. Would have been nice to have a window and a coffee maker in the room, though. All in all, however, a very good value.

| We had a vey nice stay at the hotel. It had a lot of charm and was pleasently decorated. We slept well in the comfortable bed. (A very nice plus while on a trip.) The "free parking" was a little disapointing though. There are only a handful of spots in the garage a block away. We were however lucky enough to find close parking on the street every day of our three day stay. I would stay at the Avenue Garden Hotel again on my next trip to New Orleans.

| hotel was very well remodeled and painted. however as you walk up the steps to the second floor, there was no air conditioning in the hallway and it was extremely hot. the rooms, however, did have ac. additionally, dont be fooled by the "free parking". they handed me a remote and told me where the "garage" was. took me a while to find it because that's exactly what it was - it looked like some kind of maintainence garage, and there were boats in there as well as other things being stored. didnt even look like it belonged to the hotel.

| The hotel looked to be in very good condition to me, being that it is a 100+ year old townhouse. The room furnishings were nice, the continental breakfast was very adequate. The hotel has several sitting areas including the second story balcony facing St. Charles, the interior courtyard, and a parlor-type room with a computer for internet access. Convenient location - in between the Garden District and downtown. Streetcar stops right in front of hotel. I definitely would stay here again.

| Really nice hotel - they make the best of the space they have. however, from the info listed on the site - I expected it to be deeper in the garden district. it is nice and close to the french quarter, but not really deep in the garden district. i will return in the future - the gated secure parking was a nice bonus.

| We had a very comfortable room, and the walls were nicely soundproofed. The amenities were on par with a more expensive hotel. The location to the Quarter and the Garden District is ideal. The trolley stop is right outside the door, and there were some plenty of restaurants nearby.

| My husband & I stayed here for our anniversary. The hotel is in the Garden District. A streetcar runs in front of it. I suggest parking the car in the garage & riding the streetcar - you can buy passes from the visitor center down the street. The hotel was very quiet at night but still close enough to the major attractions to enjoy. They were in the process of remodeling the outside, but the inside was very nice. Upside - quiet & very convenient. Downside - garage is at the back of the block & the bedroom was a little small, but perfect for 2 (huge bathroom though). We will definitely stay there next time.
