| I have only a few gripes about the hotel: I checked into a single room, with shared bath. Considering the location of the hotel (in the heart of Manhattan), I cant blame that it was a pigeon-hole sized room. When I came to the hotel at around 12.30 pm, I was told that check-in time was at 2 pm. This was something I was never informed about. But, they let me check my bags in at the front desk, so that I could come back later. The shared bathrooms were not bad. But I wish, they had an exhaust fan in there (Not very nice, if you happen to use it, right after someone else. Thankfully, I didnt face that scenario!). There is a nice little panel above the room door, that indicates which numbered bathroom is in use. But the odd thing was, no bathroom was actually numbered! And I never noticed any of those lights going off. So, I dont think, that contraption was even working! But otherwise, a neat and tidy place, and great location (3rd Ave and 51st street)- some landmarks are within a 15 minute walk radius.

| Drawn to Pickwick based on favourable reviews and can say that I was not disappointed. Great location within walking distance to many of NY's great sites. Room were small, basic but comfortable. No issue with the shared bathroom concept as I never had to wait for use and they were always clean. One annoyance was the squeaky door hinges that need oiling and adding a seal to reduce the banging noise would be helpful. Overall very please and would stay again.

| I visited Pickwick Arms with my older sister, (we are both in our 50's now), and found it to be very comfortable. We both got a kick out of sharing bunkbeds once more. I got the top bunk. We settled in after a long day of walking all over the city and watched our own movies on our personal tv sets that pull out from the wall and swivel around. The bathrooms were clean, but we had to wait to use them. The hotel is very close to two different subway stops, making it very convenient.

| from my experience, the stay here was actually very appealing. for what i paid, i was satisfied. you're not far from many shops, restaurants, or subways. the room was clean and designed with modern concepts. i was a little uneasy with the shared bathrooms idea because i've seen some atrocious facilities, but here the bathrooms seemed to have been newly renovated so everything looked new. overall, this is a nice find in the city.

| The room was very clean. Beds were comfortable. My sister and I had bunk beds. If you are older or have problems with your legs it was a high climb. I slept on the bottom and my sister slept on top. She had a some trouble but we just laughed about it. You have your own little tv in your bunk. That was nice. We shared a bathroom with others. They were clean and the showers were great. Marble and stainless steel. We never had a problem waiting to use one. There were 4 on our side. I was little skeptical reserving the room but it turned out just great. The place was full and it never seems crowded. Very convenient to restaurants and shops. The garden view on the 14 floor was beautiful. We went up at night the view was spectacular.

| I stayed here on and off throughout the last weeks as I relocated back to NYC, interviewed, and looked for an apartment. For foreign travelers, I recommend this hotel location as ideal - it's in a great midtown location - it's around businesses, but it's also in a charming neighborhood, with tons of restaurants, bars, blocks from Park Avenue, Fifth Avenue, Rockefeller Ctr. Hotel has no restaurant or room service, but you can get takeaway all around and I recommend you eat outside at the charming small public park and waterfall across street from hotel. You'll be happy to be in an open space after you go stir crazy in your extremely tiny room at the Pickwick. When I say small, I mean small rooms they call "pods". The hotel has designed the rooms to make the most of the little space, modern design, with high tech stuff, a little desk, and free wireless internet service is great to have. This is a plus because most all NYC higher priced hotels make you pay surcharges for internet usage. I was reminded by the manager (who asked me a few too many personal questions), that the policy is no more than 21 days stay at one time. If you want a good location, cheap price, but keep low expectations and don't expect hotel staff to wait on you hand and foot, and get out a lot to experience NY, then I highly recommend the Pickwick Arms!

| Beautiful accommodations, great dining (sushi, bar, Italian) within 2 blocks, tree-lined street, and parking in garage associated with hotel for a reasonable rate. Can't wait to go back.
