Insider tip: Union Square Park, which runs from 14th Street to 17th Street, is a national historic landmark. Every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday throughout the year, the park hosts the popular Greenmarket, in which farmers from the surrounding areas sell fresh produce, flowers, baked goods, jams, and other homemade specialties.
Olives - An extension of chef Todd English’s international chain, W’s restaurant serves a modern Mediterranean and Italian menu. The 200-seat space, decorated with earthy colors, features an open kitchen, outdoor patio, and views of the park. It serves three meals daily and Sunday brunch, and offers a specialty cocktail menu. UnderBar - This late-night downstairs lounge attracts a mix of fashionable locals and guests of the hotel. The room is decorated with rich velvets in shades of deep brown, red, and gold, and holds gauzy curtained booths for couples.
