| It's a nice hotel. Very clean. I wish they gave me an extra pillow (but I didn't ask). The location is not in downtown, but it's very convenient to get to downdown or airport. Fifteen minutes to downtown and 30 minutes to airport. The tram and subway are extremely convenient. Remember to get the Day Card or Two-Day Card at the Frankfurt general train station. That'll save you from the trouble of buying ticket everytime before you get on a bus or train and save you lots of money. It's 8 Euros a day and 12 for 2 days.

| This hotel is very nice. The rooms are quite large, and it's very clean. But, the hotel is right next to a series of train tracks, with trains passing all through the night. There's no airconditioning, which is typical of European hotels, and with the window shut, most of the train noise is gone. But, I can imagine that it would not be very pleasant on a warm evening. So my advice, ask for a room on the side of the building away from the tracks, unless your a sound sleeper.

| We weren't looking to spend loads of money which is why we picked the Golden Leaf (and they spoke English). It had no air conditioning which is why we wouldn't go back - in summer. It was too hot in and the windows barely open. We walked everywhere and it's a good 45 minute walk from downtown. If you're looking for budget it's not bad - just don't go in the dead of summer.

| The Golden Leaf Hotel Frankfurt is brand new, spanking clean, and very reasonable for the financial capital of Europe. The room and the beds were comfortable. The staff we met spoke English well. We had only two difficulties with this hotel. First, it was a bit difficult to find (although, in fairness, our map was inadequate). Second, we don't think the room had air-conditioning. We found an air flow vent, but it couldn't compete against the hot June sun streaming in. We opened the window, which would have been fine, except that the railroad station isn't too far away. If you're a light sleeper and enjoy an air-conditioned room, you might look elsewhere. The hotel is in a developing area-- there aren't too many restaurant choices within walking distance. The hotel restaurant was fine, and has some nice outdoor seating. Subway is easy to reach, and the airport is only a 20 minute drive away early in the morning. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would return.

| Hotel is basic but has a nice Italian restaurant. While it faces the train tracks, the rooms were quiet. There are signs for the hotel so it was not difficult to find.

| This hotel was a very pleasant surprise for me. It has all the creature comforts of an American hotel with authentic European charm. All the rooms come with a kitchenette that has a microwave, small stove, petite refrigerator, as well as plates, cups and eating utensils. There is a nice sauna on the lower level. The Golden Leaf is only about one block from the tram that goes to the city center of Frankfurt, or to the Airport via one transfer downtown. There were a couple of English language channels on the room's television. I found these accomodations to be a very good buy for the reasonable Expedia.com price that I paid for a weeks stay. I will certainly return to this hotel for my future trips to the Frankfurt area.

| Considering what I paid for the room sight unseen, my wife was at first sceptical, until we entered, she was pleasantly surprised, which took a major load off of my mind, as it was a surprise for her birthday. The staff was very nice as were all the people in Frankfurt, the room was just what we needed, a place to sleep, change, and shower. My only caution is that there is no airconditioning, we stayed while it was still cold so it was no problem, other than that I would highly recommend it to anyone.
