| The hotel was a good place for the price range. The halls needed some work. There is an elevator. The breakfast was good with croissants and a sampling of meats. One nice feature of the shower was that it had a temperature monitor on the faucet to ensure the temperature was always at 35 degrees centigrade--no fussing with the dials. The desk clerk seems gruff, but he was pleasant about supplying information when asked. There is a hotel parking garage with a charge, or park in public parking nearby (also a charge, but less).

| The staff was extremly helpful and polite. The hotel, although not fancy, was very clean and comfortable. The location was very central with easy access to Siena, Florence, San Gimignano, Chianti, Pisa, etc. We even took a day trip to Venice, 3 hours each way. Even the small town of Colle di Val d'Elsa is interesting, with an ancient section on a hill said to be about 1,000 years old. The hotel is very close to the town center, so there can be some street noise in the early evening. We enjoyed this atmosphere so we didn't mind our rooms being on that side of the hotel. However, if your early to bed, you may want to request a room away from the center.
