| I stayed here on my fourth business trip to Alexandria, hoping to save some money as the hotels on King St. had been quite a bit more expensive. The hotel wasn't as nice as I hoped it would be for the price, though. It was old, doors stuck, fixtures in the bathroom were missing, etc. BUT, it was cleaned well each day, was quiet, and in the end, had everything I needed. Plus, the free parking is a big bonus in my book! I would stay there again if I had to, though I do think the rate seemed a bit high for the quality of the rooms.

| Cheap rates for the area, but very limited services and amenities. The advertised "free continental breakfast" consisted of a coffee urn and a box of donuts in the corner of the lobby by the door. I couldn't dial out on the phone - the desk had to connect me to a pizza place to order out. I'm used to staying in hotels in the third world, so this didn't bother me alot. The A/C and the TV worked, but the place is very dated/worn and needs some refurbishment. BUT - the location was great for me - an easy few blocks walk to the historic area and about 4 blocks to the bike path. The price was right, too.

| Located on the outskirt of Old Town Alexandria. Easy to walk to any shop in Old Town or visit any historical sight in Old Town. The room was big, kept very clean, and the pillows were plump to lay a tired head on to sleep. I enjoyed this hotel and plan to visit them again.

| This hotel looks a little plain from the street, but the rooms are very clean and nice and the location is very good.

| Overall experience was not to bad, for the price it is a good place to sleep. Cleanliness was ok, but the rooms overall comfort was not so good. On our trip it rained, so unfortunately it had leaked in our room.

| The Hotel Monaco was great hotel in the heart of downtown Washington D.C. We stayed for 3 days and had no complaints, just compliments, about this hotel. Just about everything there is to see in downtown D.C. was within walking distance.

| The location- six blocks from Metro station and three blocks north of the historic area of Alexandria, as well as the price are the only reasons to choose this motel. The managers were less than helpfull in fulfilling a request for a non-smoking room booked two months prior- wouldn't/couldn't make change during four night stay. But once the smoke-infested bed cover was stored in a closet, the room was OK.

| I was very unhappy with hotel condition, rooms smelled bad, carpet dirty, sheets dirty and notice bed bugs on them. Cleaning service did not even changes sheets or make bed. Good location but that's all.

| Older style motel. Needs a facelift, but reasonable for budget minded needing a location in Alexandria. Not recommended to impress your wife or date. Easy parking, no elevator to second floor.

| Good price for Alexandria. Location is good but needs to spruce up a bit. It is part of a chain and has a reputation to uphold. Staff was friendly.
