| My boyfriend and I just got back from our awesome stay at the Getaway. We are just a couple of seniors in college, so we didn't really expect too much and were actually suprised about how accomadating everyone and everything was. The staff was super nice and eager to please, the food was decent, and the rooms were sufficient too. The beds Were very hard but we really didn't seem to mind after the first night! The activities were fun and the drinks flowed A PLENTY!! :)

| The Getaway Club was perfectly fine for what we paid. The grounds were kept very nicely. The pools were clean, our room was clean and in good condition, the Air Conditioning was good. The staff was very nice. Saul at the front desk was very helpful and very nice. The food was OK. But again, for what we paid we were able to spend money to go out to eat. The a la Carte restaurant was only open 2 nights. The buffet restaurant was pretty good for breakfast and lunch. The hotel is close to downtown/Malecon so cab rides weren't expensive, and you can walk to the Malecon if you so choose...it's onlt a 15-20 minute walk. Overall, I was pleased with the Getaway.

| My husband and I liked the location of the hotel,(right on the beach) the food service and food were excellent, even the pool area was nice but the room itself was horrible. We did not have an alarm clock, or remote for the TV, the chain lock on our door didn't work and we could smell our neighbors cologne through the adjascent door. The hotel is in need of a makeover. It was ok but it would have been great if the room was nice.

| This hotel was not at all what we expected. It was not the lavis resort vacation that I thought I paid for. The bed was totally hard, and there were bugs in the room. No hair dryer, or iron in the room. The pool closed at 8:00 every day, and the food buffet was aweful (with the exception of the breakfast buffet which was okay). The beach was very close, but full of vendors that do not take no for an answere. The beach is very rocky and hurt to walk on, very bad since the reason we went to PV was for the beach. Water is brown and cloudy. The location was close to downtown, about 10 min. walk. The balcony (which cost extra at time of check in even though I thought I paid for the balcony when I booked the trip) and shower in the room were the only good atributes. In onsite convienience store a spanish speaking person bought a bottle of water in front of me, when I went to pay for my bottle of water it cost me twice as much... Staff was nice, and helpful.

| When arriving we did not have an ocean view room and it was cramped and horrible!!!! The second night we switched to one and were extremely satisfied. It is 3X as big as the other one and well worth it. Hotel is in perfect location in relation to sowntown, so overall it was nice.

| I would totaly recommend this hotel. It was very friendly and comfortable. The food was more than decent, it was different everyday. Cleanliness.. the room was cleaned everyday. Outside is everything you would expect about Mexico. The hotel had the best sunsets ever, and you were often kept occupied with staff events. It was on the hotel zone and downtown is walking distance. Be sure to stop at a tour guide place and ask for the best beaches to visit. They are very helpful. Enjoyed our stayed at Getaway made many friends and felt comfortable, safe, and most importantly had so much fun. Will come again in the near future!

| The hotel is in need of a little repair. The staff is friendly and seem to enjoy what they do. The food is good and the service of the food staff is excellent. I have visited Puerta Vallarta several times in years past and the view from the tower is the best you will find. It makes it worth overlooking the things that are not exactly up to par.

| I thought that the hotel was pretty nice. The building could be updated a little but it was in a good location. It was only about ten minutes away from downtown. The staff was extremely helpful. The rooms were real clean. The food was just ok. You pretty much get what you pay for

| I went by myself and had a fantastic time, taking in many activities and excursions around the beach and jungle. Hotel personnel were very helpful and courteous and I made all my connections. Food was plentiful and delicious, and the service was great. I had a nice 1st floor level room with a patio facing the pool and beach; however, the bed was hard as rocks!! Had a backache every day when I woke up. I took many cabs by myself and did the bar hopping with no problems at all. Entertainment in the lobby was fun nightly as well, til 1 AM. I'd go back, probably in the fall as there were many young kids durning the summer time when I was there in July. Beach was rocky, but there are many other sandy, virgin beaches around. I had a ball and would recommend the Getaway. Didn't see any topless divas!

| This hotel is the pitts!! The beach was litter strewn and the pool was nasty. When we check in at 3 pm nothing in the lobby was open. We went to our room and there was a try of food sitting outside the elevator on the top floor that had been there for awhile. Do not go or spend you money on this "hotel"....
