Le Meridien Moscow Country Club Amenities
With Russia's only 18-hole, professional level golf course, home to the Moscow Open, and an extensive clubhouse, the Moscow Country Club's premier attraction is golf, but it is augmented by a host of recreational activities. A swimming lake that freezes for skating in winter, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, soccer and basketball, squash, aerobics, cardio equipment, and cross-country skiing are also available. A doctor is on hand for any sporting injuries guests might sustain.

Those who would rather relax than exercise enjoy the hotel's three saunas, including a Russian-style banya. An indoor swimming area includes a small pool for children - the pools are surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows that open in summer and overlook the grounds. Treatments are provided in the full-service spa. Childcare specialists provide all-day activities for children. A small shopping arcade sells fashion, books, and souvenirs.

Recreation
With Russia's only 18-hole, professional level golf course, an extensive clubhouse with pro shop and clinic, and an indoor driving range, the Moscow Country Club's premier attraction is golf, but it is augmented by a host of recreational activities. The recreational activities listed below are available either on site or near the hotel; fees may apply.

Features
What to expect: In countryside on the outskirts of Moscow, guests drive up to the Moscow Country Club through birch forests. In winter, a fire burns in the marble-floored lobby, scattered with Persian rugs. Convention guests mingle between meetings, while Muscovites visiting the country for the weekend head out for a game of golf.

Amenity highlights: Set amid forests by a lake that's good for swimming in summer and skating in winter, the Country Club has Russia's only 18-hole golf course, home to the Moscow Open. Indoor and outdoor tennis, soccer and basketball, squash, aerobics, and cross-country skiing are among the activities on offer. A Russian bath, full-service spa, and shopping arcade suit those who would rather relax. Childcare specialists provide all-day activities for children.

Insider tip: The Moscow Country Club is so full of recreational opportunities, some of the more hidden or less popular amenities may escape the guest's notice. Down by the lake, past the picnic area and barbecue stands, a free-standing rock-climbing wall is rarely used. In the basement of the main recreation building, a pool table tempts guests on the way to bed from the Sports Bar. Virtual sportsmen may enjoy arcade car-racing games, near the pool table.

Guests of the hotel enjoy a complimentary buffet breakfast each morning.

Four Seasons - With walls, carpets, and tablecloths in shades of peach and raspberry, the Four Seasons is hung with oil paintings of country scenes. A breakfast buffet is served here, as well as a la carte international lunches and dinners. An in-house bakery makes the restaurant's bread. The restaurant's winter garden is glass-roofed and overlooks parkland. In summer, the winter garden opens up to a summer terrace.

Clubhouse restaurant - Set in the Country Club's golf course, the Clubhouse is open for lunch and dinner (summer and weekends only), serving fondues and Russian specialties. Rough pine walls and ceiling, a marble floor covered with Persian rugs and a huge fireplace give a rustic ambience. In summer, barbecues are cooked on the Clubhouse verandah.

Sports Bar - A big-screen TV dominates this sports-themed bar, serving huge dishes of American-style food. Guests sit in curved green velvet armchairs and booths and order cocktails from a leather topped bar.

hotel is situated on moscow country club golf course with a tennis court and spa and work out facilities. was a little hard to communicate with, but with perciverance everything worked out. golf course was great and played it twice. $100 for an 18 hole round, rented good clubs. no entertainment so went to outside sites. cabs very expensive over $50 per ride to anywhere, but they provided the cabs with demolition derby drivers...typical moscow driving. dining in their main dining area extremely expensive so we ate in the bar..pizza about $20. they have happy hour for drinks at half price from 6pm to 8pm. take advantage of it. they have email service which was slow but adequate. overall rating..good to excellent.
