| I believe the motel was over-booked. We were put in a room that had a foul odor in the carpeting. The air-conditioner was poor quality and soaked the carpet underneath and spread under the bed. The motel manager was not very helpful. The rest of the motel was clean. The contenintal breakfast was very good. The employees at the front desk were very friendly.

| We asked for and did not get a non-smoking room. They were nice about trying to do something about this. But then insisted that I sign a statement with my credit card with a deduction of $50. When I pointed out that they already had my credit card without my signing this, they then insited that if I did not sign it I would have to leave $50. So I left $50 and got it back the next day. The manger was very rude about this and I consider it unnecessary. The combination of the smoke filled room and the rudeness of the manager were too much. I would sleep in my car before going back there.

| this hotel is one of two best westerns in the u. s. that looks like a north woods lodge. the other being in Montana. Nice quiet and comfortable.

| The hotel provides continental breakfast, including waffels and french toast. In the evening the provide free of charge soft drinks, beer, wine and snacks. Recommend a king room. Comes with couch, chair, coffee table and small dining table with two chairs. Indoor pool. Several nice family restaurants (Johnny Carinos, Applebee's, Ruby Tuesday, etc., plus all of the fast food restaurants. Some shopping near by.
