| Hotel has a good location. Walking distance to the Prado and the small but excellent private museum across the circle from the Prado. For trips to Old Madrid (i.e., Plaza Mayor, Palacio Nacional) is very nesr the Atocha Renfe metro stop. Room adequate and clean. Reception staff efficient but not overly friendly. Exchange rate in hotel, as it was all over Madrid, was terrible. Exchange rate for $ was 10% higher in Portugal.

| Location...5 minute walk from Atocha, 10 minute walk from Reina Sofia, 15 minute walk from El Prado. Decent but not in the center of the city at all...well connected. Nice common areas, decent room, great bathroom. Beds a little uncomfy but sleepable. Service was not friendly but served its purpose.

| The Agular Hotel was very clean and relatively comfortable. I stayed there for six nights and have no complaints with accommodations. I did dine in the hotel's restaurant one evening and was disappointed in the selection, presentation and the taste of the food (very bland). Hotel is within walking distance (10-15 minutes) of Madrid's best art museums and walking distance to the Metro (which is the only way to to travel in Madrid since I heard taxi drivers will take you for a ride). Everybody uses the Metro at all hours of the day and night, and even alone I felt safe.

| i suppose you get what you pay for. while room was clean hotel was aging and there was annoying feature that you had to use your keycard to turn on the electricity in the room including the air conditioning, meaning you couldnt leave it on while you were out of the room and it got very hot. also not as centrally located as i would have liked.

| Very convenient to Metro and Atochia Train Station. Comfortable, quiet room and excellent breakfasts. Breakfast not inculded but well worth the price. Fresh squeezed juices and fruit. Within walking distance of most areas if you are not lazy. Closest to Prada Museum.

| The hotel is clean and well located, though not in central Madrid. It is a few hundreds away from Atocha train station and within easy walking distance thereof as well as of the Paseo del Prado (where the Prado museum and Thyssen museum are located) and, therefore, the Gran Via and Paseo de la Castellana. The hotel is quiet (a premium in Spain where sound insulation is almost unknown). The room is typically small (barely 5 feet between the bed and the four walls surrounding it). In the US, it would not even compare to a Motel 6, particularly in view of the price, but in Madrid it was not bad.

| My wife and I are traveling Europe for 6 months and have stayed at hotels all over Europe. This hotel is pretty close to the train station and a metro stop, but not too close to most of the tourist attractions. The service was pretty good, but the rooms didn't fit the hotel. The rooms were very small and very plain. They are what you would expect in a 2 star hotel. Because of the rooms and the location, I wouldn't recommend this hotel.
