Considering the prices of other Vancouver hotels, this offers the best bargain around. Everything else in this price range seemed to be out by the airport or in some tumble-down two star dump. To be sure, it's not the most glamorous hotel you'll ever stay at, (the pictures of the exterior on expedia make it look a bit more ritzy than it is) but it's comfortable, with friendly, helpful people, and a garage below the hotel which goes for a reasonable daily fee. Highly recommended.

The hotel is old. The room is small. The street noise is too much, even at level 9. Not worth for such price, even with promotion.

The hotel was not as nice as I had anticipated it to be. The restaurant was closed for renovations and the rooms were a little on the shabby side and if you are on the lower floors very, very noisy, as the hotel is located on the intersection of 2 busy streets. On the plus side the staff couldn't be nicer and it was so convenient to get into downtown Vancouver. The hotel offers a great shuttle with the friendliest driver and the #15 bus stops right there as does the PCL in case you want to ferry to Victoria. The mall across the street has a Safeway and a good food court with Starbucks & Subway. There's also a White Spot across Canbie for breakfast or filling, reasonable dinner. It's not a bad place if you plan to be out and about most of the day and can get a room toward the back or up on the higher floors.

Stayed at the hotel for a Dragon Boat festival. Could walk to the event = good. Soaking wet clothes afterwards and hotel did not have any washers or dryers = bad. Staff suggested we take them several blocks to a coin laundry. No food on site - had to walk outside and around the corner to dark, windowless bar with limited food options. No pool or hot tub. Parking was $8 (plus tax) a night. All nearby restaurants and stores were closed by 10pm which left no options.

This is not definetly 3 stars hotel. The bathroom is small and only one sink. The small mall is in front of hotel and convient. One front desk is very ruled to customers. This is not in downtown area. It costs $8.5/day for a couples to travels to and back downtown by bus. I would not recommend to stay there.

The card keys kept deactivating, the electricity was out in the bathroom area, and there was a lipton bottle filled with cigarette butts on the balcony. However, the service was very friendly, the food was good, and the room was quiet, which very much outweighed the above listed issues. I found them minor, yet I recognize they should be addressed.
