Paradise Beach Resort & Casino - an Amhsa Marina Resort Amenities
Interspersed with tropical gardens, the 436-room resort's 20 three-story, pastel buildings (no elevators) resemble a compact colonial plantation complete with green wood railings. Children have their own supervised activities and pool and massage services are available for adults. For additional fees, a tour desk arranges excursions such as four-wheeler trips into the mountains, river rafting, and whale watching (in season). A convenient guest services desk is also available.

Features
What to expect: Opened in 1987 as one of the first North Coast destinations near Puerto Plata, the resort provides budget-minded families and couples with a relaxing, casual atmosphere and activities such as water sports and horseback riding. Amenity highlights: The resort projects onto a point rimmed by a boardwalk. On both sides, long beaches provide ample room for enjoying the tropical sun. In addition, sand terraces directly in front of the resort's buildings offer lounges for sunbathing. The good-size pool contains a swim-up bar. But most guests head for the beaches. Insider tip: The Crazy Moon disco ranks as one of the North Coast's liveliest spots.
Hibiscus - Overlooking the sea, this open-air restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets. All include international choices as well as theme selections at dinner. Eden's - In the evenings, this open-air place becomes Eden's Grill for à la carte service featuring grilled fare. Reservations are required. From noon until 4 PM and again from midnight to 1 AM, it's the spot for burgers and other fast foods. Restaurant - Open only for dinner, this restaurant offers an à la carte Italian menu. Reservations are required, and men are asked to wear long pants and shirts with sleeves. The resort includes a swim-up pool bar, a bar near the pool, a bar on the beach, a bar in Hibiscus, a bar in the casino open until 3 AM, and a bar in the Crazy Moon disco open until 4 AM. Drinks in the Crazy Moon are not part of the All-Inclusive Plan.

| My wife and I went for our honeymoon to this resort from 6/6-6/11 and we both agree that it was AMAZING...We had the time of our lives. We enjoyed the great food and service. The views were astonishing and the late night shows were tons of fun. The room was very spacious and comfortable. We drank all day and all night at the pool, beach, restaurants everywhere they had liquor...We defiantly recommend it and would consider going back.

| beautiful area, breath-taking view from ocean front room, delicious food -huge varaiety, friendly staff, tons to do. We stayed at Paradise for our honeymoon (01Jun06 - 11Jun06). The weather was HOT and HUMID but we loved it; occasional late afternoon thunder showers. The ocean was such a beautiful shade of blue. Too bad it was the wrong season for waves; my husband was looking forward to surfing. We went on a jeep safari (we swam in caves and jumped off waterfalls, saw the life of real Dominicans), went horsback riding, and deep sea fishing. Every thing was awesome, especially the safari!!!! Only two things i would have changed: 1) the bed -it sunk in the middle (the hotel room itself was not much to look at, but there's so much to do you're hardly there anyway!) and 2) the pushy people always trying to sell stuff. Other than those two things, it was more than amazing!!! Absolutely the trip of a life time. We couldn't have imagined a better honeymoon. Will definitely be back (probably in December when the waves are better!!)

| If your looking for a hotel on the beach with a little better than okey rooms this is it. I would go again but knowing what i know now this would be great for the next time. Pay half of what the taxi says and convert your money and know the exchange. anything through the hotel is more than twice as much as it is in soasoa. good luck.

| The best feature that this particular hotel has, is that it is located right in front of the beach and because of this fact, for me, this hotel it's more than great. This hotel is kind of old but it has great service (the staff is out of this world specially the guys in the buffet rest.). For me, it was lacking "fun" activities but what the heck, I just went for the beach and I enjoyed every bit of it.
