Features
What to expect: Languid pursuits in opulent surroundings are offered by this stylish hotel where tourists and businesspeople sip coffee to the strains of soothing classical music in the lobby lounge. White carved marble ceilings, rich brocade drapes and oversized soft armchairs create a peaceful ambience. Amenity highlights: A complete renovation in 1996 restored this hotel to its original 1930s style and grandeur. Guests enjoy a wide selection of cocktails in the bar and dine in the richly-decorated L'Esterel Restaurant. Guests also have access to the on-site fitness center and to a rooftop golf simulator. Insider tip: Currently used as a spectacular venue for conferences, the theater adjoining the hotel is a listed historical monument. This flamboyant Renaissance-style theater is the oldest in Brussels and guests can pay a visit when it is not in use for business conventions.
L'Esterel - Set beneath a large dome painted with a blue sky motif, this informal restaurant and bar offers continental cuisine and an extensive wine list. There are bar stools for casual drinking and a wide range of cocktails is served. Breakfast Room -Decorated in gold and crimson with heavy brocade drapes and chandeliers, this dining area creates a luxuriant ambience for buffet-style breakfast. Champagne is also served.

| Hotel Le Plaza claims to be a 5 star hotel, but I would say that 4 stars is more accurate. It is very nice and is easy walking distance from the North train station and to the Grand Place (historic district), but the hotel rooms do show signs of wear and tear that "true" 5 star hotel rooms do not. However, the rooms are large by European and UK standards; size wise they are comparable to a US hotel room. Our only real complaint was that we had requested a non-smoking room, but they did not have any available. Breakfast is extremely expensive at the hotel, but there are lots of waffle stands in Brussels to get a quick bite. There are numerous sex shops in the vacinity, but they did not bother us as there weren't any "shady" characters lurking around outside of them. Overall, our experience at Hotel Le Plaza was good and we would definitely stay there again if we were able to get another good weekend rate.

| This hotel is in a wonderful section of Brussels, within walking distance to old town, new shopping district, major train station, and immediately adjacent metro stop. The hotel is beautiful, rooms are exquisite, and service is impeccable. The staff were very helpful and professional. Multilingual staff. Cocktail lounge, restaurant, salons, and more on lobby level. Will definitely go back to this hotel.

| Staff was extremely freindly and helpful, and the hotel and room were clean and beautiful. Very close to Gard de Nord. Close to sights and main plaza. Only minor complaint is seediness of portions of the surrounding neighborhood. I would definately stay in the hotel again.

| This was a very nice hotel, close to many of the tourist sites we walked to in Lower Town (Manneken Pis, Grand Place). The only thing to spoil an otherwise perfect stay was the one hour we were stuck in the elevator late on a Saturday evening. The staff was wonderful - offered us anything we wanted from room service for our troubles. (And all we wanted was a beer and glass of wine). Never did breakfast, but looked quite elegant.

| We didn't have a great experience. They lost some of our clothes in the laundry. I called the front desk with a question, they said they would call back in 5 minutes and never did. I wanted directions and no one at the front desk could help me.... just not a very "friendly" hotel. Breakfast was Overpriced.
