    Renaissance Paris Vendome Hotel Amenities
This attractive hotel is located in a central business and luxury shopping district, within three blocks of Place Vendôme, the Louvre’s Tuileries Gardens, the Champs-Elysées, Place de la Concorde, Place de la Madeleine, the River Seine, and the Opéra Garnier. Just off the main lobby is the hotel’s small library, with a wood-burning fireplace, two tweed-covered sofas, flannel-covered walls, and a shelf of general-interest coffee-table books. The room also has a large desk and offers wireless Internet access (complimentary for guests with wireless cards; cards are available for a fee).

The fitness center has exercise machines and free weights, a slate-tiled steam room with a starry ceiling, an aspen-wood sauna, and a pool in black slate and exotic wood with a counter-current wave system. There’s also a separate relaxation room, massage room (surcharge; by appointment), and locker rooms with showers.

Guests can have a cup of tea or try the Chinese cocktails in the Bar Chinois—which also offers wireless Internet access—or dine in the French-Basque Pinxo restaurant.

    Recreation
The hotel features an indoor, black-slate pool with two lanes and a counter-current swimming system. Lighted in part via skylight, the pool is surrounded by a deck of exotic ipe wood. Relaxing music is piped in. A slate-tiled steam room has a starry ceiling, and the sauna is made from aspen wood. The hotel’s wood-floored fitness center offers exercise machines, free weights, a TV with remote control, water dispenser, and a telephone. There’s also a separate relaxation room, massage room (surcharge; by appointment), and separate locker rooms with showers for women and men.

One block from the hotel is the Tuileries Gardens, ideal for jogging. There is also a children’s playground in the park. Bicycles can be rented at Roue Libre in the Forum des Halles, a five-minute ride by direct Metro from the station nearest the hotel.

The recreational activities listed below are available either on site or near the hotel; fees may apply.

    Features
What to expect: Behind a 19th-century façade, the hotel’s atrium-lit lobby has a 1930s style with polished black-marble floors, lacquered hardwood furnishings, statues, and textured earth-toned fabrics with touches of red. The central location near the Tuileries Gardens, Rue St-Honoré’s fashion boutiques, and the Paris financial district attracts business travelers and vacationers.

Amenity highlights: The hotel focuses on small luxuries as well as modern necessities. The fitness center’s swimming pool, steam room, and sauna are made with black slate and exotic woods, and provide a separate relaxation area and fitness room. The library off the main lobby, equipped with wireless Internet access (surcharge), has a wood-burning fireplace, tweed-covered sofas, and a selection of attractive coffee-table books.

Insider tip: An outdoor food market is held at the Place du Marché St-Honoré, two blocks from the hotel, every Wednesday afternoon and Saturday morning. A typical Parisian market, it’s the perfect place to buy cheeses, meats, and fruits for a picnic in the Tuileries Gardens.

Pinxo - Hotel guests have direct access to this independent French-Basque restaurant, which features specialties from southwestern France. The contemporary dining room overlooks the street and is decorated with black-leather chairs, waxed wooden floors, and touches of bright color. The long, black-granite bar overlooks the kitchen. Wine racks along the entryway hold fine French and foreign wines. Pinxo is open for breakfast (with an a la carte choice of Continental, traditional, or low-calorie foods), lunch, and dinner.

Bar Chinois - Decorated with Chinese wallpaper, deep-green carpeting, Oriental statues and artwork, and low wooden tables. Hot and cold beverages from late morning through late evening, including Chinese cocktails and French teas.

Very nice hotel with many amenities. Staff very friendly and profesional and everyone speaks english. The best part was the location. 2 blocks down from the Louvre and the Seine river. We were in walking distance to all the things you want to see in paris. My only complaints was that the room was very small.

Great hotel and very convenient to major attractions! We upgraded to a deluxe room and breakfast was then included in the rate. First rate breakfast and deluxe room was very spacious, particularly for Europe. Would definitely stay there again if in Paris. Very friendly to Americans--staff spoke excellent English

If you are looking for a great place to relax after a long day of sight-seeing, look no further than this hotel! Located on a quiet street close to all of the hot spots, this hotel was a perfect place to come and relax after a busy day. Love the pool, sauna, and steam room! You will not find this at other hotels in Paris. Staff was friendly and the hotel is very clean and new. The rooms are pretty small, but that is expected. Great hotel!

I like this hotel. It's convenient walking distance to almost all of central Paris, Louvre, Tuilleries, Rue de Rivoli, Bhudda Bar ;). It's on a quiet street one block off the Rue de Rivoli, so there is easy access to the activity of Paris without the noise. The staff is friendly, speaks English well and pleasantly tolerates my broken French. It has good business support in it's high-speed internet acces. The coups de grace of course is Pinxo, the Hotel restaurant. I like to sit at the counter and watch the chefs at work. The staff is friendly and efficient, yet you never feel rushed. The menu is lots of small dishes (Pinxo = pinch I'm told). So you can enjoy an explosion of delicate and strong flavors without getting stuffed. So of course there's room for the deserts :) ! Viva la Renaissance Paris Vendome.

Great location in the 1st arrondissement just blocks from the Tuilleries Gardens and the Louvre Musuem. Metro stop very close on Rue de Rivoli. Modern decor with clean and comfortable rooms. Twice daily room service. Rooms with internet access, but at a surcharge of 20 euros/day (similar to many other area hotels). Would highly recommend this hotel.

The Hotel was well located and within walking distance to many Paris attractions and shopping. However, for best value and most comfortable accomodations, I would not recommend this hotel.
