| My husband and I took our first "married couple" trip this summer and chose the Grand Rios. We purchased water park passes and had a nice few hours on the slides (the stairs take most of your time), the other activities were more for kids. The restaurants and cafe all were exceptional, each meal we had was satisfactory. The staff was very nice and even accommodated with an early check in after we explained we had just driven 25 hours to get there and were eight hours early for check in. All staff and managers were polite and even made it a point to remember us when we came in, always a nice feeling. One thing at the water park, a couple of young kids just flirting and playing with a cell phone instead of assisting the tube slide riders with their tubes and safety. It was quite an annoyance to see children struggling in front of me while the TWO lifeguards went about their own business, which obviously could have been saved for a lunch break. The other lifeguards were working hard and paying close attention to the children, I would just suggest that if you bring kids, make sure you keep a close eye yourself. The maid service went above and beyond and were quite timely. Overall it was a good experience and I hope to return someday. PS- the "regular" room bathroom was bigger than mine at home, it was a very nice room.

| When I saw the sign from the highway I was frightened, but when I checked in, I was pleasantly suprised with how updated the lobby and subsequently the room was. I would definitely go back.

| My family had a great time at the Grand Rios. The room we stayed in was comfortable and clean. The waterpark was fun and was perfect for our family. We visited mid week so it wasn't overly crowded. We also spent time in the game room and had a great time. The young man working there was very nice to us and even treated us to a couple of free games. The only disappointment was the continental breakfast...we got there toward the end of service and you could tell everything had been picked over and they weren't refreshing any of the items. Other than that we had a great time and we will definitely go back again.

| The Caribbean theme set a festive, relaxing atmosphere. The waterpark is wonderful for kids. The outdoor patio was very nice for dinner. Only downfall....waited too long for service at dinner.

| The experience was fantastic! The staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The overall impression of the property was very good as well. We did not visit the waterpark however the hotel pool area was roomy and inviting. I would not hesitate to visit this property again.

| We got to our room which I noticed had an odor. After messing with the thermostat, I noticed water damage on the ceiling and mold growing underneath the window. The staff did come quickly to move us to another room down the hall, but it also had mold. We did give them a third chance, and the room had no visible mold. We ate at one of the restaurants for the breakfast buffet. I had to go through about 20 bowls to get a clean one for cereal. Also, they could not get the thermostat to work and it was sweltering in our half of the restaurant and the other half seemed fine. The regular pool is not very kid friendly as the most shallow part was over 3' deep and it was a very small area. We walked past our first room that was moldy and noticed they had put another family with young kids in the room. I thought that was absolutely awful and proved they didn't much care that the condition of the room was as it was.
