| I had a standard room w/fireplace; and it was right next to some sort of equipment room, and the noise was horrendous. Impossible to sleep & very unpleasant. Also the curtains were too short for the windows, and were sheer so that not only does the streetlight outside shine in but anyone walking by can see right onto the bed. They did move me to a better room (a casita) the next night, but were not in the least apologetic about my awful first night. They have a few things to learn about customer service/relations. In general, the place needs some repairs/upgrading; a bit shabby around the edges although charming enough in the decor.

| We booked a room for my wife's birthday on Expedia. When we arrived at 8:15PM the office was closed, but a envelope was stuck to the office window telling us to go to another hotel they own a few miles away to pick up our key. We went there and got our keys and returned to the property. The room we were given was the "Roadrunner" room. It was located in the motel style building that directly faces a busy street called Paseo Del Paralta. This is a bustling road that rings around the historic core of Santa Fe. The room was very small. There was was traffic noise all night. We felt like we were sleeping right on the street. We were almost, being just a few feet from speeding cars. There were also thin white curtains that let a bright light in from the street lights outside. All night there was traffic, garbage trucks, police sirens and noise. We tried to use the small Kiva style fireplace with little luck. We cracked a window and open the flue as instructed and had dry wood and kindling. This fireplace was not built well and more smoke went into the room then up the chimney. This required opening the door to air out the place with cars rushing within feet of our door. There was a woooden cabinet with a small TV on top right up against the fireplace and it got very hot from the fire and we thought sure it would ignite ! We slept very little in this tiny, noisy room and awoke very beaten up feeling in the morning.

| This hotel is not worth the money or the energy. I stayed there over the Columbus day weekend with a friend. My room had a rather offensive odor the entire time I was there. My friend had heat difficulties--- heat poring out of the radiator on sixty degree nights. Calls for help went unheeded. The folks at the desk when they were there were (gone by 8pm) and were unrepsonsive at best --- rude at other times. I enjoyed watching other guests complaining about difficulties with their rooms to no avail. Absolutely this was one of the least pleasant places I have stayed at. Now if you want to be close to the plaza-- and can deal with heat, unresponsive staff, offensive odors, then this is the place for you, Amigo!

| We stayed there 2 years ago and it was much nicer and cleaner. Our sheets were old and the towels were old too. The room was much smaller than before.

| If its about location this small place can't be beat. The rooms in the motel type bldg. are small but well appointed in SW style. Stay on the back side its quieter. The original pueblo style 2 story bldg. has larger, more interesting rooms at a price. Parking is tight or across the street.
