| This hotel is OK to stay for 1 night only... if you want to visit Doctor's Cave Beach and downtown area of MoBay, for example. One day is enough to do all that, though.

| I have stayed in Jamaica plenty of times. But this is the first time at this hotel. For the price that I payed I would come back plenty more times. I love that it is DIRECTLY across the street from the beach Doctor's Cave. I also love that everything you need to have fun is in walking distance. No need for a taxi unless you want to do site seeing. Rooms are clean and staff is friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that wants to have a goodtime. Already booking my trip for next year!!!

| Our trip was okay. The Hotle is located on the hip Strip. The Bobsled was a great place to eat. The one thing they need to do is get rid of the begging people from out front and give a 5 minute warning about the conmen.

| Choose this hotel based on reviews at this webb site. It was clean, not fancy, you get what you pay for. Was not impressed with the resturant overpriced, food not that good. Front desk staff very rude. Security good. Had to walk forever to get to our room. Next stay will request room in front area of hotel. Location good, beach right across the street, shops and resturants close by. Ask locals about where they eat, food better, less expensive. Pool area nice.

| Not impressed. Read review about this hotel and it was a disappointement. Went with a group of friends for Memorial day weekend. Had problems with AC not cooling enough and leaking. Other couples had similar problems. The breakfast not fresh. The only good thing is the bartender. Friendly and making very nice drinks. The location of hotel is not bad either. But there was not much to do in Montego Bay. Don't waste time there take a day trip to Negril and Ocho Rios if possible. Would not stay there.

| We stayed at the Gloustershire in April '06. I read the reviews. Most were right on. We spent most of our trip elsewhere and were looking for something inexpensive close to the airport in preparation for our departure. It was one of the least expensive options, so I should have been prepared to get what we were paying for. The lobby is nice, and the location is good, literally across the street from Doctor's Cave Beach in the middle of the "hip strip," which is not all that. Doctor's Cave Beach is not bad, but I hope you can visit a more quaint beach elsewhere on the island. We had one of the west facing rooms with a balcony. As many others have written, it was a very noisy location. The first night the traffic combined with the constant drone of the a/c (which we could not shut off) made for a night of minimal sleep. Ironically, the second night we couldn't get the a/c on. The traffic noise did die down after midnight. The room decor was very dull and tired, but it was clean. The restaurant downstairs was ok; nothing special. The hotel is convenient to the airport. Montego Bay itself is really pretty awful. Try to get out as quickly as you can. If you're only going to Mo Bay and want a relaxing Carribbean experience, I would say pick an all-inclusive, even though that's not what I would normally choose.

| Room all the way in the back of the hotel and accessed from outside. Vanity in bathroom was broken, towel racks were broken, only one light worked in the room. We woke up to ants crawling all over the dresser. We had to insist on a room change in the main part of the hotel which was a little better. The beds were VERY comfortable.
