We went to The Benjamin to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and stayed for 4 nights. The suite was roomy, clean, and left just right. they turned down the bed, turned on music, and the lights were turned on. Couldn't have asked for a hotel more central to everything you do in NYC. A few blocks away from a central subway stop that got us to China town, SOHO, Little italy, Times Square and Broadway with ease.

Great hotel and in a terrific location! The room was clean, cozy and elegant. I only wish they had traded in their Bose radios for the new models with and iPOD docking station. The staff was pleasant and helpful and I would go back anytime!

Hotel is at Lex and E. 50th Syreets, a little distance away from the broadway noise and crowd, but a 10 minute cab drive. Cabs are easy to get from here, and the subway is right around the corner, so excellent transportation. Parking at the hotel is $45 per day. Hotel is clean, and service is good. Felt safe with 24-hour door men, and everyone is seen entering the lobby by desk personnel.

The service here was top-notch, with attention to our every need. Housekeeping answered every request promptly and made up our room the way we wanted. Concierge services were superb--helpful, knowledgable, & very pleasant. Beds & pillows were super comfortable, as advertised. The fitness center was not large but was quite adequate for our purposes. It was a flawless stay and we felt consistently pampered.

I was thrilled with this hotel. I am the type of person who changes rooms, leaves hotels if not satisfied, etc. This was the best hotel I have been to in a long while. Only drawback is the on site restaurant - its prices - but no worries, there are many, many great choices withing a minute's walk.

Excellent service throughout. Front desk amenable to multiple requests and always very friendly. Porters very helpful. Rooms clean, updated. The suites are great if you are staying for a few days, w/ a microwave, dishware, and refridgerator. Across the street from #6 subway station, 1 stop from Grand Central. Close to many shops, and nice restaurants if you head east 2-3 blocks. Only negatives were that elevators are slow, there is a charge for internet and it is not wireless, and that although there is a printer/fax/copier in the rooms, cable not updated (i.e., not USB) for more current computers.
