Swissotel Zurich Hotel International Amenities
Atop the hotel is the Amrita health club. From the emerald colored water of the pool or the neighboring jetted spa guests have stunning views. The views through the floor-to-ceiling picture windows of the sauna are better still - on a good day one can see clear across to the Swiss Alps. Guests also enjoy a steam bath small gym and solarium. On the first and 31st floors the hotel offers a series of 19 conference rooms of varying sizes, all benefiting from natural light and the latest in hi-tech equipment. Walls between the rooms can be rolled back to create spaces capable of holding several hundred people. Among the first floor rooms there is a bakery churning out fresh croissants and other snacks.

Features
What to expect: It's hard to miss this 32-floor tower opposite the Oerlikon suburban train station. The grand lobby, littered with deep red leather lounges, buzzes to the purposeful coming and going of the hotel's principally business customers. Opposite the entrance and past the reception on the right are hotel restaurants and bar. Adding to the bustle are a hair salon and Starbucks coffee shop.
Amenity highlights: High above the city on the 32nd (top) floor of this hotel tower is the Amrita fitness center. Its highlights include the swimming pool and neighboring jetted spa, both with splendid views. For better views still, the sauna offers floor-to-ceiling picture windows on the same floor. On a good day one can see clear across to the Swiss Alps. Also included is an array of training machines and weights, steam bath and solarium. Business guests can make use of the 800-capacity convention centre and related support services.
Insider tip: On Friday nights the hotel opens up Edison 31, an intimate little bar up on the 31st floor. Dim blue and green lighting lends an almost moody atmosphere air to the place and it occasionally stages live music and other events.
Restaurant Szenario - This bustling dining area, with its simple wooden tables and chairs and mainly parquet floor, welcomes hotels guests for a buffet breakfast and local business people for power lunches. Along with a salad buffet and soups, other light meals such as pasta, fish or a vegetarian minestrone with parmesan cheese are aimed at keeping busy lunchers on the go. Restaurant Dialog - Carved out of and raised a step above the main dining area of Restaurant Szenario, this is a more intimate location for a lingering meal over candlelight. Long-backed dark upholstered chairs and elegantly laid tables set the scene for, say, a starter of risotto followed by duck. Some can't resist the Flambispiess, or Big Bird Skewer. Summer Terrace - In summer, the Restaurant Szenario extends outside into the neighboring square and offers light meals. Edison Lounge & Bar - Towering vases loaded with peanuts grace the gently curving bar in Edison's Lounge & Bar, a street-level tavern that attracts people from inside and outside the hotel. Soft halogen lighting and soothing jazz music waft over the candle-lit tables and leather lounges. In one corner stands a glass cabinet with a selection of fine cigars. The bar occasionally stages live music.

| The hotel is comfortable and a stone throw from the the s-bahn station of Oerlikon, one of the main in Zurich, so, altough, not fully central, it is very convenient to connect with any part of Zurich. The hotel has also free shuttle bus from the airport, although this runs only twice each hour.

| Just be warned that it does get a little hot in the summer, but that was true in all of the countries we visited. Excellent hotel with extremely friendly and courteous service!

| We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights on our first trip to Switzerland. We found the staff from the shuttle driver, front desk, housekeeping staff to be helpful & warm. The location is OK but it isn't that close to "Town Center" but the hotel is located at the tram station which is easy to figure out & reasonably priced. Get your ticket from the front desk, $7.50 (SF) for 24 hrs. Great for on & off transportation while you get to know Zurich. The swiming pool on the top floor is enclosed and has a wonderful view. Hot tub could be warmer but the infinity pool is wonderful! You are also across the street from the Oerlikon train station. We spent a day in Luzern & caught the train from this station. Wonderful trip & don't miss the trip to Pilatus. It's what we went to Switzerland to see & we weren't disappointed. You are also across the street from the Orlecon

| Bed was not comfortable at all, but nicely located near many shops including a large Migros supermarket. Free shuttle van to Zurich airport is available once or twice every hour. Duration of the shuttle bus takes about 15 minutes from the hotel to the airport.

| The Swissotel Zurich was a wonderful experiance. The hotel desk staff spoke very good English, so translation was no problem. Everything about the hotel was first rate. The buffet breakfast at the hotel was incredible!!! The location directly across from the Oerlikon train station was perfect for excursions. The room was comfortable with all the ammenities. Cable TV, a Wet bar ,and Italian marble bathroom just scratch the surface of the first class set up in these rooms. This is the place to stay in Zurich . Two Thumbs up!!!
