Features
What to expect: This six-story hotel was built in 2001, mixing upscale service and amenities with streamlined, angular design. The airy lobby, with its floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the quay, is where executives hold informal business meetings over coffee, and vacationers relax in modern armchairs. Fresh flowers and carefully placed cushions provide splashes of color in the strikingly minimalist decor.
Amenity highlights: Complimentary to guests, the health club has an 80-station gym, a 15-person sauna, steam room, spa tub, and 68-foot indoor lap pool. A contemporary-style restaurant serves modern European cuisine, and a less formal bar-restaurant is the ideal place for a beer or cocktail while choosing a meal from the Asian-style menu. Complimentary high-speed Internet access is available at a desk in the lobby.
Insider tip: The Point Theater is arguably Ireland’s premier music venue, with entertainment ranging from classical concerts and children’s ice shows to big names in rock and pop. At five blocks, this hotel is one of the closest to the east-of-center riverside theater.
Sinergie - Semiformal, contemporary dining room with spot-lighted walls and low-hanging lamps. Hot-and-cold buffet breakfast daily, with additional cooked-to-order items available. Lunch and dinner menus include such modern European dishes as Papillote of Salmon and Mussels, and a fixed-price pre-theater menu is available in the early evening. Kudos - Casual, dimly lit bar-restaurant. Asian cuisine, with one wall of the kitchen open to showcase chefs preparing dishes. Leather sofas, bar stools around high tables. Outside terrace in warm weather. Open daily from early afternoon to midevening.

| This was my first trip to Ireland and when I chose this hotel, I hoped for the best. That's exactly what I got! Clean, large rooms (about the size of an American hotel room - very unusual for Europe), friendly service. Just north of the Liffey, it's within easy walking distance of O'Connell and Grafton Streets. Staff members were courteous and helpful. My only complaint was that the hotel was expensive - all things are pricey in Dublin these days, so had my employer not been paying for the hotel, I wouldn't have been able to afford it myself. Overall, a clean, gorgeous and modern hotel. The health club was excellent, by the way. Lots of machines and a beautiful indoor pool.

| We really enjoyed our trip to Dublin which was enhanced because we were in a quality hotel that was set away from the major city noise. Most of the Dublin hotels are in the heart of bars and restaurants and have lots of noise to contend with. This hotel is just a 15 minute walk to the center yet it is totally quiet at night. The hotel is showing a little of its age and is in need of minor maintenance but the quality of bedding and bath accessories was spot on. Breakfast is too expensive but there are 2 great coffee/bagel shops right across the courtyard. Everything was close and easy. The hotel is the 2nd stop on a city bus from the airport so even getting to and from was inexpensive and easy. Hotel staff were not completely knowledgable about the area but Dublin is a totally walkable city so it wasn't hard to figure it out on our own. If we go back, we'll stay here again - the location and amenities just can't be beat for the price.

| Our room was very moderately priced compared to others during our trip in Ireland & England, but far surpassed them, except perhaps, Waterford Castle which was more than twice as much. We had a room with a balcony directly overlooking the River and the city, and the furnishings were a beautiful, yet comfortable modern decor. Amenities included DVD player, CD Stereo, a fitness center with indoor pool, High speed internet, just about everything you could want. We intend to go back to Dublin and when we do, we are going right back here. I urgently recommend this hotel to anyone going to Dublin.
