| This is a beautiful old Hotel. The service was very good and the staff was very accmodating. The ice machine and drink machine were right outside our room and very noisy. I highly recommend requesting a room away from that area. The bathrooms were small... I mean real small! The hotel was within walking distance from all the shopping and the attaractions. The population in the area is very diverse. The surrounding area was noisy and busy. But the Hotel was beautiful.

| Very quaint and friendly hotel. My single room was really small, but other rooms had lovely balconies. The front hotel veranda was very pleasant. And the location is excellent for downtown St Petes.

| The Pier Hotel reminded me of a 1920's Key West Hotel. I could just picture Hemmingway setting on the porch writing or reading a book. Service was great. The only two drawbacks that we saw were there was no central a/c. (window units) and our bathroon was extremely small.

| We stayed here for a get-a-way weekend to visit the museums. If you like nostalgia, it's a great place to stay. Clean and good friendly service. Walking distance to everything downtown.

| I do a lot of traveling and have visited hotels as well as bed and breakfasts around the country, including St. Petersburg. This place ranked as one of the worst places I had "tried" to sleep. I stayed two nights here in two different rooms. Both had incredibly uncomfortable beds, were very noisy (thin walls), had tiny rooms and terrible, cramped bathrooms. The staff will quickly state this is an "historic" building to explain some of its foibles. Other than the first overnight attendant I met, staff were unfriendly and seemed reluctantly helpful.

| The hotel and staff were great. We arrived at the hotel prior to check-in, and they placed our bags in a conference room. When we came back to the hotel, our bags were already in the room. A microwave and refrigerator were in the room, so we kept snacks and drinks on hand.

| Upsides: Room was clean, service was good, breakfast and "happy hour" were good, convinient location to everything downtown, the place has old charm, and for the price you can't beat it. Down sides: No elevator and parking was across the street.
