Features
What to expect: This hotel is located in uptown Barcelona, close to public transportation (subway) for the city center. The business area and prestigious shopping centers are also close by. On site, stairs lead down from the street to the lobby level, where a white marble floor anchors a lounge area with two computer terminals. There is also access to Petit Príncep, the hotel’s restaurant. The hotel draws primarily business clientele, as well as the occasional tourist. Amenity highlights: Mediterranean cuisine is available in the Petit Príncep restaurant. The hotel also has seven meeting rooms (five on the ground floor and two on the first). The largest, the Sala Picasso at the end of the ground floor, has a small private courtyard, which can be ideal for cocktails and similar events. Audio-visual and other equipment is available as well. Insider tip: The hotel is close to the shopping opportunities along the Diagonal, but it is also just a five-minute drive from the restaurant and entertainment venues of Mt. Tibidabo. Additionally, the city center is 10 minutes away by subway.
Petit Princep - Ground-floor restaurant located just off lobby entrance. Open for lunch and dinner; bar for snacks and coffee offered during the day. Up to 50 people can dine here at once with the choice of a menu of the day or ŕ la carte (Mediterranean and national dishes). Restaurant Tardor - Street-level restaurant where buffet breakfast is served. Can seat about 100 people. Hardwood floors, small square tables and natural light. An attendant is on hand with the morning's local papers.

| I arrived and lugged my suitcase down a tall flight of stairs. When I reached the bottom, a bellboy came running out apologetically (though there's never been anyone at the top of the stairs to help when I've returned during day or night). The lobby is lovely, if smoky, but the front desk staff is unhelpful -- completely unforthcoming with maps, directions, eating recommendations, etc. I didn't even get an apology when I had to return to the front desk once because my keycard stopped working. The room is immaculate and nicely decorated, but definitely on the very small side, even for Europe. The bathroom is beautiful and the shower works well. The in-room brochure boasts the location in a secluded and desirable residential neighborhood... not what I was looking for! It's about a 5-minute walk to the Les Tres Torres train station but there's little to nothing in walking distance, at least from what's obvious given the unfriendly staff.

| My friend and I were not on business but travel frequently in the USA and are used to higher end hotels. We were pleased with the atmosphere, cleanliness and friendliness of the hotel. It was a great all in all. They were always happy to assist with any questions we had. In fact, I felt more comfortable asking their front desk staff questions about the area than I generally do when in the states. The staff spoke English very well and they didnt seem to mind that I didnt speak much Spanish. It is very close to the Metro which was great. However we had to use the Metro or take a Taxi to do much of anything. It is in more of a residential area. But we wanted to make sure we had a good class of hotel & wanted to keep the cost down so we had more money to play with. Its price, the class of the hotel along with their staff and patrons made up for the location. For the ladies out there, the hair dyer was actually decent! No ironing board in the room though.

| Located in a quiet residential neighborhood, Hesperria Sarria seems to cater mostly to business people. It is only two blocks from a 10 minute direct subway route to Las Ramblas and the party crowd. It is also two blocks from Tres Torres' neighborhood commercial area which features affordable breakfast and an indoor market. A short walk away is the ancient community of Sarria which has been absorbed into the City of Barcelona but retains its small town character and has interesting shops and architecture. The hotel has a restaurant and breakfast room but we never tried it. We enjoyed a five night stay here and enjoyed the clean and quiet retreat from the hectic days of touristing.

| This hotel is situated off of the beaten path in a nice quiet neighborhood. Although not close to the action of La Ramblas, there is easy access via a close-by Metro station. This is the quickest, easiest and least expensive way to travel to almost anywhere in Barcelona. The rooms, were clean, staff friendly and helpful and the breakfast is nice as well.

| Economically priced, very nice hotel. The staff were all friendly, helpful and courteous. Away from the center of town, but near a subway station. It was easy and cheap to get around (1.10 one way to Plaza Cataluna).
