Features
What to expect: The 10-story high-rise is one of the few historic properties in downtown Atlanta. Built in 1918 and later renovated, the hotel is located in the artsy Fairlie Poplar neighborhood, which houses parts of Georgia State University, renovated lofts, and art galleries. It’s also a half-mile from the Georgia World Congress Center and draws a large convention crowd. Amenity highlights: With its fitness center, complimentary buffet breakfast, and 2,700 square feet of meeting space, the hotel attracts many business travelers and conventioneers. For added convenience, the hotel is 2 blocks from a MARTA rail station. Insider tip: Most guests are familiar with downtown Atlanta’s Centennial Olympic Park and CNN Center, but may not know about the Tabernacle. A former church, the Tabernacle is an excellent smaller concert venue less than 1 block from the hotel.
Guests of the hotel enjoy a complimentary buffet breakfast each morning. Super Hong Kong: Located in the hotel but independently operated. Open for lunch and dinner.

| We stayed in this motel over the New Year holiday for a football game and were pleased. The room is very small, but we weren't in it much. We didn't get much sleep, but that was due to the young people in the motel that stayed up all night drinking. We survived that though. The room was clean and worth the price. Very inexpensive, especially this time of year.

| My first impression as we drove up next to the hotel was this was in a bad part of town. You walk in the clerk is very nice and the marble floors look fine. Then you take the elevator (which one adult and child with luggage hardly fit). Then you get out on the floor of you room and the smell of mold & milddew hit you in the face. Their is water run down the wall and the carpet is (but you can not get ice but on one floor). Then you open your door to the room first thing that hits you is the smell of smoke. I asked for air freshener but it never comes. The beds are almost in the hall the drawers on the dressers are falling off and when you open the window there are not any screens in the windows. The bathroom is small and the wall paper is coming off and the dirt on the floor is just awful. I did see some bugs crawling on the dressers. The furniture in the lobby is old cracked stained nd a wasp on the curtins So glad to leave.

| We recently booked this hotel for a business trip. One word discribes this hotel, frightening! Upon their arrival they seemed confused by the fact that we might want to check in. She had no idea of any rooms had been cleaned and couldn't reach house keeping to find out. After about a half hour of standing around waiting for them she rudely told us our rooms were ready. By this time we had a bad feeling about the hotel so we went up to check out our rooms before we brought in our bags. The rooms were small and unkept. My room had one full size and one twin bed that was shoved up against the heater/air conditioner. The hotel reminded us of something that could be rented by the hour or weekly. We immediately checked out and found a nearby hotel that was much more comfortable.

| Super 8 Atlanta downtown, was the absolute worst hotel that I have stayed lodge at in the last thirty years. My room had a double bed and a single bed against the window, the shower was moldy, the lobby area was like a flop house for the dregs of the area. The property was very poorly kept. The room was very uncomfortable and the noise of other guest made if impossible to get any rest. I resorted to sleeping elsewhere. Never would I choose to stay at another Super 8, for fear of the same level of dissatifaction.
