| For a small city I was very pleased with the level of experience the staff demonstrated. The diner restaurant was intimate and the food comparable to any large city hotel. The only negative was the very small gift shop/business center which really did not have many basic items, should you forget something.

| I guess it's Knoxville, so what can you expect, but the carpet in the room was dirty, did not get a bath mat replacement my second night, room service was so slow, I went down to the restaurant after 1 hour and asked for it. (They told me 20-30 min) The bar/lounge was overpriced and I watched a front desk girl leaf through papers for at least 3 minutes while not looking up and saying a word to a customer standing not 8 inches from her face.

| We arrived late in the evening and were looking to be "coddled" in a quiet, luxurious atmosphere. We opened the door to our room, flipped the light switch, and were greeted by inky blackness. Two lights had burnt bulbs. And I had reserved a King; once we found a working lamp, we found that we had 2 queens. The door to our room had a gap between the door and the frame of about 1/2;" We were happy to see that there was a thermostat on the wall to control the room temp. In fact at temps around the "sweet spot" of 70 degrees, the HVAC unit just made clicking noises but failed to turn on. Apparently a switch was bad. Did I mention noise? There was evidently a girls' basketball tournament in town and many of the teams were headquartered here. Very loud, very late. We called the desk about the racket, and security came up. Big deal; at 2:15 a.m. the COACHES were in the halls shouting back and forth. Called front desk; security had another chat with them. Otherwise, the breakfast was delightful. The staff were very nice, and the location was terrific. In short, nice place in a great location with good staff, in need of some quality control. Mark the flaws down to a lack of management attention to detail.

| We stayed at the Hilton on Christmas Eve. Not only was the service great, but they left us a stocking full of Candy on our Hotel door during the night. We were on the 16th floor and had a great view of Downtown Knoxville. The only negative aspect was that Hotel guests have to pay for parking.

| Deep browns and silvery highlights, simple, strong color and pattern make this a deeply relaxing place to stay -- not to mention the Cinerama view from the windows of the rolling foothills of the Smoky Mountains. Their cheeseburger rates with NYC's Mellon's as delicious comfort food -- room service there in a flash.
