| Don't look for any extras with this budget hotel. Forget about room service, a TV bigger than 12", movies on demand, or breakfast that consists of more than juice, coffee, and rolls. But if you want a cheap, clean place to stay, this will do the job. Personally, I like a bit more for my money, but Montreal is expensive and this hotel was fine for the price. Basically a cheap place to sleep and shower. It looked way better in the photos. The desk staff were polite, the room was clean (and very small), and the "breakfast" was free (and left me hungry). If that's what you're looking for, this place will do. If you want more, keep looking (and expect to pay more).

| It wasn't the best hotel I've ever stayed in, but it wasn't bad for the price. The room was small, but clean. The staff was friendly enough. The free wireless internet was great! Be aware - they charge you $15 per night to park your car in their garage and parking on the street is virtually impossible. Hotel is close to the metro.

| They charge US$15 per night for parking in an underground garage that is not user friendly. The rooms are the size of a small college dorm room. The staff does not seem to know much about the city with regards to restaurants, events, transportation... Spend the extra money and stay at a larger hotel.

| This hotel looks much better in the photo. It was small and the bedspread was very dirty. You could hear people in the surrounding rooms and it was very noisy in the morning. The room was very hot and the thermostat did not work. We had to call the front desk to turn on the ac and they only turned it on for ten minutes. I did not find the staff friendly. I would not recomment this hotel to anyone who wants a quality stay.

| This hotel was a good choice for an inexpensive Montreal Hotel. The location was prefect in terms of being right near Mt. Royal and Holt Renfrew. The staff were very helpful, letting me check email ont heir computer, helping with phone messages, restaurant reservations, and anything else we wanted. The biggest complaint I had is the very tiny room - not much space to manouver.

| The hotel was alright to stay in. The street seemed kinda ghetto with spray painting on the adjacent buildings and a shady element lurking about at night. The pics on the website made the room like way bigger than it was and after a long day walking about our room was not made up when we returned afte 4 pm. The room was really no bigger than a stateroom on a ship. Staff was friendly but also a tad on the shady side. Parking was good at a underground lot next store at $15 a day but there is limited space. Very much like a European youth hostile and when we checked in there was kid making Romen (sp?) noodles in the tiny check-in area. If I had to do it again I would fork out the extra bucks and find a nicer place with hopefully a restaurant and/or bar attached.

| Hotel Saint Malo provided a great home base for our long weekend in Montreal. The rooms weren't large, but they were comfortable. Hotel staff was very nice, and spoke English as well as French. Parking available for $15 cdn per night in a closed garage across the alley. Close to St. Catherine shopping district, and just a few blocks away from a Metro stop.
