We chose this neighborhood because it is close to our sister's apartment. It's just a hop and a skip to Place du Clichy and the Moulin Rouge, a short walk to the Opera or up to Montmarte. The hotel is tucked away on Rue de Parme a tiny side street and is small which we prefer. It's quiet, the lobby and bar small and empty most of the time except at breakfast. The staff is friendly and helpful. As always, unless in a five star we thought the bathrooms were a little tight (though much better than most in Paris) as well as the guest room itself. That being said, once we adjusted to the size of the room, everything else was perfectly pleasant including a very comfortable if smallish bed. So be prepared to have a very good base to operate from in the city of lights. It's not glamourous but put together well enough and run well enough that you will be comfortable getting back to your hotel room at the end of your day.
