| This hotel is the best of the Riu Hotels because of its location in relationship to the beach. The other hotels were pretty far off the beach, so we were extremely pleased we chose this one. I traveled with my mother, my best friend, and her mother, and we got two rooms. There was tons of space to comfortably sleep three and possibly four people in both rooms, and the hotel staff was exceptional. The bar was stocked, the room clean, and the entertainment was always ready. We did have one complaint: the huge pool does not have stairs. It has several ladders, which are great, unless you are bringing someone who is elderly or has trouble with pool ladders. Everything else was perfect, including the food. This is definitly the way to go, and we can't wait to get back next year.

| My husband and I stayed at this hotel from 6/10-14 06 Positive things were beach, ocean, clean grounds and room. The food was horrible. Fruit&cheese warm, bread hard No variety for lunch & breakfast There is not 2 seperate dinner places as claimed, they only offer one or the other nightly and they don't tell you in advance which is avail so you can plan. DON'T bother tipping it didn't make a difference at all. We tipped the maid every day, we tipped at every meal the first 2 days and it didn't make any difference, we still only got 4 pepsi's a day and poor service. We even wrote our requests by the money in Spanish and it didn't make a difference. We had to ask 3 times for a new water jug. The staff will come up to you and ask you in perfect English how you are and if they can help you then when you ask a quest they give you a look like they don't understand. No bottled water as claimed, in room it is a gallon jug. They said snack bars were open from 10-2am. One night it wasn't open until 10:30, the next not till 11 pm. The natives selling stuff on the beach are hustlers it was annoying having to walk past them everynight in the hotel lobby We would go other places in the Carribean before going back here and if we do we would stay at another hotel

| When we arrived at the RIU Taino All-Inclusive Resort we were upgrade to the RIU Palace! What a surprise! During our week in Punta Cana we enjoyed lunch at the neighboring RIU resorts and found them to be exptremely nice also. We traveled with 3 teenagers who had a great time and made friends with many of the resort guests and workers. They really enjoyed themselves which made our stay wonderful! Great vacation spot for couples or families! Five star! *****
