| I chose this place out of the blue for a weekend trip over from London. It is two Metro stops from Gare du Nord, close to the Rue Mortgeuil pedestrian district, a ten or fifteen minute walk from the Seine. As Paris hotels (for the rest of us) go, it's a find. If a romantic interlude is your goal, this may not be the place: it's very simple and the decor is along the lines of a (slightly beat up) American motel room, but if you're looking for a clean place to sleep and leave your stuff on a Eurostar jaunt, it's great.

| We stayed here as part of the fight hotlew package, which made the price pretty reasonable. We didn't spend much time in the neighborhood as it wasnt really "quaint", but there were 2 metro stops very close. One, Strausboug/St Denis had 3 lines running through it that let you go pretty much to all the important spots of the city. If you aren't looking for a cute neighborhood, but convenient and budget friendly this is a good hotel.

| We just stayed at the Regina Opera for 5 nights and really liked it. It is located in a neighborhood that has probably seen better days. However, it is centrally located-within walking distance of 2 metro stops, Bonne Nouvelle and Strasbourg-St. Denis. All the major attractions of Paris are about a 5-8 Euro ride away by taxi, if you want to take one. The rooms are bright and very clean. The bathroom is also very clean and the window opened out onto an inner courtyard which was quiet at night. Breakfast is 11 Euros per person per day, so I'd have breakfast elsewhere, like at Angelina where it is 15 Euros but much better.
