| The room was not ready at checkin time. Didn't get the promised call when it was ready. House keeping came late every day we were there. Gym consisted of 5 pieces of equipment shoved in a small room. Room was nice and location was great. Overall it was a nice stay.

| I was on a business trip and the extremely small room had no comfortable place to set up my laptop to work. Very inconvenient to say the least. Also...the pool area was a mess and had no clean towels available. I had to call the front desk to get a towel which was delivered in a timely manner, however the staff member departed without collecting all the used pool towels that were littering the pool area.

| The parking situation is not great. When you first approach the hotel, you see a small parking lot before the main entrance. I pulled into that lot thinking, "If this is all the parking available for this hotel, I've made a bad choice." There is limited street parking, which is designated for 90 minutes max. So I parked on the street and walked into the lobby to ask where the staff recommends that guests park when the lot is full. The woman behind the front desk told me that there are multiple lots on the property and showed me the map. Fortunately, there are nice restaurants within walking distance, so once I found parking I did not move my car until I checked out.

| Right on the beach; two blocks from State Street; expansive grounds with lots of areas for picnics, lounging, etc. Rooms are not air conditioned and buildings are older so rooms are also not big. Upon first entering the room, I was concerned that I had made a bad decision. But, very well maintained, cute decor, fantastic sheets and linens on the bed, yummy free continental breakfast with exceptional coffee. I'd go back; just don't expect luxury.

| I spend alot of time in Santa Barbara on business and visiting family and I've stayed in many different places in the area. This hotel is the best bang for my buck that also gives me the perfect location. I wil be a repeat customer.

| Rooms are small, no a/c, hotel staff came across friendly but were not interested in fulfilling any requests. We were promised an air matress but it never showed up. Beware, the hotel charges $9 a day to park your car, but the first night we came back there were no parking spaces available and I had to park in the lot of a restaurant with the chance that my car would be towed. Nice location, but other hotels in the area seemed better suited. The rooms are HOT in the summer. They need A/C.!!

| Room was not air-conditioned and fans were insufficient. Fly screens on windows were broken. Hotel is well located but too expensive considering the standard of the rooms.

| The location of this hotel can't be beat. We were right on the beach with a beautiful view, but back far enough that the street noise didn't bother us. The rooms were cute and decorated nicely, but not elegant. We were told that the continental breakfast went until 11:00, but when we arrived at 10:30 we were turned away. This was corrected immediately and nicely, but it still was a hassle. The food at the breakfast was excellent, once we got it. We were a half hour late in checking out, and I had told the front desk, but housekeeping kept (nicely) pestering us. Otherwise, the hotel was a decent value and I would probably stay there again.

| Pros: Great location, layout, condition, and linens. Top notch. Great place. Best of all; BOTH pools were well heated... very relaxing after a day of traveling/touring. Cons: Staff was helpful, but gave the impression that they would rather be doing something other than help. Breakfast was OK, not great. Two small cons, but would definitely choose Oceana upon a return trip to Santa Barbara.

| Great Service,Comfortable rooms, close to everything. The only thing that was missing in the room was a place to make your own coffee after the service of the continental breakfast.
