Not only were the beds the worst, they were double-beds, which don't sleep 2 well. The walls were paper-thin & the neighbors noisy. It was facinating to wake up to large cruise ships in the canal next to the hotel, but that's the only thing positively that I can think of. The pool was not heated, as it was only 67 degrees, and any Floridian wouldn't put a toe in the water if it wasn't at least 80 degrees. While they are recovering from the hurricanes this year, there was nothing redeeming at the hotel to make us want to return.

Low price. Good location. Lower your expectations and this place should suit you fine as a pre-cruise one nighter. It needs a complete renovation. Has a very lived in look and the rust is showing.

We stayed here waiting to go on our cruise the next day. This is very close to Port Everglades (less than 5 minutes away by car), and a nice place to stay. The Tiki bar music was great, and the place is very comfortable. The rooms facing the bar/pool area can hear the music, so if you want to go to bed before 10:00 pm, ask for a room away from the music. Since we were starting our vacation, it was a lot of fun for us, and we didn't mind the music at all. All in all this was a nice place - clean accomodations, friendly people and a nice atmosphere. We had a great stay here. Would recommend this, and we will stay here again.

Advertized shuttle to/from airport and sea port was provided, though it took a few hours to get on a hotel bus after we checked out in the morning. The restorant did not look very clean, the menu was very limited. The room smelled like an old basement. The room had solid glass window that does not open, so we had to keep the door open to let some fresh air in at night.

We have used this hotel for years; however, I find that currently it is in need of major upgrading. Location is wonderful for access to the watertaxi and hotel shuttle is helpful. Paint and replacing carpet would be a plus.

Was here when hurricane Wilma hit Fort Lauderdale. We had no lights,no water and no wheels. The staff took care of us while under difficult times of their own. The people at Best Western Marina Inn were an example of how we all should be towards others. Even people we don't know and may never see again. Thank You Very Much.

The hotel was what I expected based on the price. The room was clean but somewhat outdated. Needed new furniture, some softer seating and lighting. However, I'm sure if it would have been updated, the price would have been higher. Very nice pool area in well maintained tropical garden area. While within close proximity to cruise ship docking, unless you like to take very long walks, definitely need a vehicle to get to the beach, restaraunts and shopping.

This Best Western is at the lower end of their spectrum. It's outside entry so you are hit with a blast of warm Florida air everytime you step out of your air conditioned room (which fortunately worked well). The motel is just across the intercoastal waterway from the Broward County Convention Center - a 10-15 minute walk over Brooks Memorial Causeway. There are many nicer hotels in the vicinity, but they cost twice as much. A good deal for those on a budget.
