We stayed here for 3 nights and the location is great. Restaurants and grocery stores are within walking distance. Very close to downtown La Jolla and about 10 minutes from downtown San Diego. Only complaint...towels seem to be in short supply especially pool towels and wash cloths. The buffet breakfast is a nice touch but it seems to attract a rush/frenzy and makes it not very relaxing.

This hotel is in a very quiet area, not far from the USSD campus, a very nice mall and the sea-side town on LaJolla. The staff is friendly and very service-oriented. Every morning they have a (free) breakfast bar with hot and cold entrees. Four nights a week they offer a (free) light supper. Every room has a full kitchen and wonderful king-size bed with pull-out sofa in an area considered the livingroom. The only problems we've encountered are with things that seem to have worn out...toaster gave me a shock because someone had dropped it, cracked the plastic and when I set it on the metal stove.... Then we've also encountered noisy bathroom fans, lightbulbs out and problems with the TV's. But, the staff comes right out and tries to solve the problem. Have also used their in-room wireless internet service and when there's problems with that, they have an 800 number OR they sent out a staff member who can solve the problem. Just a great hotel.

Hotel was a decent family place, clean rooms, decently sized. The kitchen suite was great, the fridge was huge, had all the amenities to cook a meal. Conveniently located at 15 mins driving distance to all major attractions. Only doenside was lack of parking space esp if you came late at night.

The hotel was very conveniently located for us, with a student at UCSD. Residence Inns are great with all their amenities (full kitchens and lots of space). Loved the high speed internet access. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I've had. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Only complaint... not enough parking! We had to park on the street one night because every spot was taken on hotel property.
