This hotel was luxurious. At the entrance, the bellman were very curious, and so was the front desk. Our room was designed nicely, the bathroom was nice, bed was very comfortable. Maid service superb. No problems whatsoever. Lemonade every day in the lobby, Don't miss the buffet breakfast, or the late nite dessert. My girlfriend and I could not have been happier

It was a very nice downtown hotel, in walking distance of many nice restaurants on Meeting St. and King St. It's also a nice but do-able walk to the aquarium. The staff is friendly and helpful. The only real issue is parking, which is always at a premium in Charleston. It's in the city garage across the street. The hotel charges a daily fee for guests. The logistics can make loading and unloading something of a chore. Otherwise, I enjoyed it.

A great location, such as this hotel has, can sometimes make up for mediocre service. In this case it didn't. The hotel is expensive and certainly not worth the money. The hotel pool was small and dirty, our room was not properly vacuumed the bathroom lacked large towels and the place had that old hotel stale smell. In addition everyone from the bellhop(who was also the valet)seemed harried and disinterested in making our stay enjoyable. We'll never stay there again.

A long weekend getaway and we were very pleased with our hotel stay. We arrived early and since room was not quite ready, we went to the lounge, watched World Cup and ate a wonderful breakfast brunch. Everyone was helpful and accomodating. Check-in went smoothly and we were in our room early. Front desk, door service and concierge helpful. Very nice! Beds so comfortable and house cleaning service excellent. Location couldn't have been better. Centrally located so almost everything we wanted to do was in walking distance. Location was between two main streets - King St and Meeting Steet. We would definitely stay at the Rennaisance again on a return trip. An Excellent Experience!

This hotel was very good, and convenient to walking round the historic area. The valet service was an added feature that was good since parking is difficult in this area.

Location is great and staff is exceptionally friendly. Rooms are clean, however, maintenance for the facilities could be a bit better for a hotel category in this price range.
