Ok, they could use a little paint but, who goes on vacation to look at the outside of the building? I couldn't believe the wonderful view. We were in a 1 bedroom suite and it was very comfortable for the 5 of us with the kitchen, living room, and bedroom with 2 beds. They were great about towels and shampoo and soap, even extra towels at night for the hot tub. Office staff was great very pleasant and helpful. We had a wonderful stay and our next trip to Cali we will be staying with them again.

I was mostly concerned with price when I booked this hotel, but took comfort in some of the good reviews I saw. The hotel met our needs perfectly. Since we spent most of our time elsewhere, it wasn't that bad. Yes, the hotel is old- (the ceiling fans most noticeably in our room), but you really won't find a hotel closer to the ocean. You could walk right out our door onto a deck only 50-100 ft. from the water. The beach condition was ok, but we liked the Mission or Coronado beaches better. The maid service was good also, no problems with that. Not alot to do/eat around the hotel, although there is a Subway close and a few Mom&Pop restaurants across the street. But it really isn't a big deal, I-5 is close and the city is so easy to navigate anyway. Overall, this is a great bargain hotel.

The hotel is right over the ocean and you can see the setting sun or the rising moon on the ocean right from your hotel window. But the hotel is very poorly maintained. If you are going their with infants or toddlers, bring a broom or a vacuum cleaner with you.

This hotel has great potential. It needs to be bought by an organization with the money to remodel and upgrade it. The neighborhood is on the way up, so the location is pretty good. But it is so old and worn out, it's sort of a slum hotel but oh, it could be so cute.

My husband and I were celebrating our one year anniversary. We loved this place. If your not looking for anything really fancy, and would really love to be able to walk out onto the beach with in seconds, you should defiantly check into this hotel. The staff there was very nice and helpful... My husband and I will defiantly go back.

This hotel is adjacent to the pier, and literally as close to the ocean as is possible without getting soaked during high tide. Old, worn and having arguably the best location in Imperial Beach has lead to the sale of this hotel and plans for a much larger (and expensive) one of the same name . The beach in front of the hotel was superior in all aspects to coranado island

The location was GREAT! Right on the ocean, next to a park, restaurants and stores in walking distance, convenient distance to San Diego. Unfortunately, the hotel has long since passed its heyday and there were signs of wear for sure---- peeling paint, moldy fans etc.
