| The staff was very helpful, finding a replacement coffee maker and helping us get settled. The room was as described, large enough for a family of four (two small kids) but had a musty damp smell which air conditioning running full bore trying to overcome the typical stifling summer heat and humidity couldn't negate. The shower and bathroom was clean. I don't think I would have gone in the pool if I was bathed in penicillin. For the price, all-in-all, it was acceptable -- probably not for a dollar more.

| Front desk staff was friendly and helpful; no errors. Housekeeping was not attentive and did not follow through with basic requests. The room was basic and clean, but nothing special for the price.

| It all started with the muggy office and lobby, that had a bad odor. There was trash in the halls. The room walls were scarred with paint chips and scratches all over the walls and furniture. The lights were not all working. There was wet carpet by the bathroom door. The ice machine on our floor was out of order. We had to go to the first floor for ice. The indoor pool was closed and in very poor condition. The Internet access, turned out to be dial up. I had to unplug the phone to hook up our computer. My wife took a shower, when she got out, the glass door leaked. Leaving her house shoes in a large puddle of water. The continental breakfast was a big mistake. The waffle mix was like pouring oatmeal out of the cup. The syrup was no better. Hard to believe since it was in pre-packaged servings. Blah! I normally have a iron stomach, and can eat almost anything, and have. But, I threw the waffle away after two bites. I want to end on a positive note, so let me say that the young man who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. I wish him well. I have always enjoyed staying at this hotel chains locations. But, I would never stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

| I have no idea how close it might be to local attractions, but if you're just passing through and want a clean, comfortable place to stay off of I-40, the Sleep Inn Memphis is a good bet. My room was pleasant and well-appointed. The front desk staff was courteous and efficient. There's an indoor/heated pool that appeared clean and well-kept (I didn't use it). My only disappointment was the complimentary Continental breakfast - the danish I had was good, but the selection was limited. Suggested additions: fresh fruit, fruit juices, yogurt, bagels. Overall I was very pleased with my 1-night stay. My priorities were safety (I am a young female and was traveling cross-country alone) and cleanliness, and this hotel fit the bill perfectly.

| Well-kept hotel off a main interstate w/close proximity to downtown, the riverfront and major music sites/museums. Staff was very helpful and corrected problems like burnt out bulbs and non-working electronic room keys promptly and with apologies. Continental breakfast far more substantial than most. Pool was too shallow for this adult's taste, but perfect for children.
