| The Plaza Athenee Bangkok is a wonderful place to stay in Bangkok. It is centrally located, and close to most of the major shopping areas right in the heart of Bangkok. There are numerous eateries close by so one is pampered for choice. The hotel itself has an excellent standard of service and comfort. From the time you enter the staff are extremely helpful and go out of their way to ask you what kind of room you would like, a rarity in hotels nowadays. The rooms are large, around 370-380 square feet for a standard room and 450 sq feet for a deluxe room. The rooms come with a complimentary fruit baskets and newspapers daily, plus free water and snacks in the room. I have stayed in many nice hotels in Bangkok but what really sets this hotel apart is the level of friendliness and service provided by the staff, which really made me feel like this hotel was my home away from home. I miss the Plaza Athenee Bangkok, and can't wait to return.

| What a great hotel, and conveniently located right in the middle of everything. I stayed for 11 nights and was very impressed. From the welcome fruit bowl to the complimentary shoe shine, to the complimentary bottled water throughout your stay, it was great. Everyone is so very polite. When riding the elevators, the staff will ask your permission to share the elevator with you, instead of just walking on. You probably will never have to open the front lobby doors yourself. Nightly turndown service, wonderful restaurants and great prices. Each morning you receive a newspaper under your door, and you can brew coffee or tea each morning in your room. Overall, I was very happy with this hotel.
