| The AC didn't work well enough so the room was very uncomfortable - otherwise Ok for a cheap nights stay.

| I thought I had chosen a nice hotel, but when I went to my room, the TV cable didn't work, the showehead was broken, and the room was dusty. I asked for another room and they said I had to wait for the manager until midnight. I then talked to the manager and he said I had to pay more money in order to get into another room. I then moved to the 2nd room and the TV was still blurry and not all of the channels were working. Anyway, next time I travel, I am willing to pay a lot more money in order to have a better staying at any hotel.

| The hotel was old, but the room we stayed was very clean. I had contact with 3 people in total at the front desk (check in/check out), they were all very helpful and friendly. The only thing I don't like was the air conditioning. I adjusted the indicator to "cooler" but it did not work. The air circulation was bad; I woke up 3-4 times at night to open the door and let in some fresh air.

| Nicely maintained property and very pleasant staff. However, the "continental" breakfast is a snack cake and Capri Sun with coffee. Ended up with fruit and dairy from 7-Eleven across the street. Also, need to ask for irons or hair dryers, they are not in the room.

| I've been staying at this hotel once or twice a year for the past 6 years. Service and accomodations used to be excellent. But it is obvious that the current owners are not putting the money into keeping it up. It is looking well worn and shabby. My wife and I had only one set of towels in the room and had to go to the office for a second set. About the only plus is that they now have wireless available for free and deliver the paper to your door instead of going to the office to get it.

| This hotel is ok for a short stay. I prefer a 4 to 5 star hotel but decided to try a cheap inn/motel since I planned on being at the beach all day. The room was cheap yet very clean. The location is right off the 405 and about 5 minutes from Newport Beach/Balboa Pier. If you are looking for a good economy inn/motel for a cheap getaway....you'll be satisfied with this Vegabond. Remember you get what you pay... so no fancy furniture or wet bars will be in the room... just the basics.
