I believe that I found one of the best bargains in town, if not the best! Staff where very friendly and helpful. Excellent location plenty of restaurants within walking distance, San Diego Zoo and Sea World are really close. The room was really nice and clean, NEWLY REMOLED everything was brand new and they had King sized bed when I was expecting a queen, refrigerators and microwaves in the rooms, cable and HBO, Heated Pool and Continental breakfast in the morning. I had a great time and hope to go there next year.

The place looks like a real dive, but the room was clean and comfortable. It's also right on the harbor so you are close to the water, piers, a walking trail, various eating places, etc. It was getting remodeled when we were there so maybe it's in better shape now. It's not a bad place, especially considering how expensive things are in the area.

Great location but the hotel is old, the rooms have a smell to them, bathrooms are miniscule. Overall it was terrible.

Friendly staff. Rooms facing pool are best. Some rooms face the parking and are not very nice. Beds are VERY hard. Our first room did not have a security door lock, but they promptly moved us to a room that had a lock. The bathrooms are old and moldy with broken tile. Very small. For the price it works ok. Very close to all in Point Loma. Our TV came on everytime we turned on the light! Great popular Fish market directly behind the hotel. Most rooms look out to the Fish Market parking lot. Our room was directly above the laurdry room and the smell waifted up to our room if the window was open. There is a little breakfast bar in the morning of fruit, muffins and jucie/coffee, in the lobby. They allowed pets which was our reason for choosing the Vagabond. Close to Point Loma Nazarene University.

Staff was friendly and polite. The hotel, however, is falling apart; needs painting, stair are rotting away, it needs a makeover really bad. Location is good but way too expensive for the condition of the place. Vagabond management needs to put some money into this place.
