Best Western Hotel Cologne Restaurant - Serving Mediterranean dishes from an á la carte menu and buffet. The restaurant features light orange décor with prints on the walls, plants, pillars, white linen topped tables and upholstered chairs.
Please note: The restaurant will be closed July 10–20, 2005 and December 18–29, 2005. Sportsbar - Serves drinks and a selection of snacks, and has an outdoor terrace. The bar features a curved bar area decorated with flags, seating area of banquettes, chairs and bar stools.

| The hotel is so far away from the main train station and the downtown area. If you have a big bag pack and other junk with you , good luck trying to find the place. You have to take two differnt u-bahns and then walk a few blocks. If we didn't do a test run with out our bags first, wew would not of found it.

| The hotel is close to 2 subway stations making direct access to downtown possible after a 10-min walk. Hotel is next to train lines, and can get noisy with windows open if your room faces the train lines. Room was very clean and bath impeccable. A few free parking spots outside and paying (10 Euro/day) under the hotel. Breakfast buffet is on the pricey side (15 Euro) but really good with all sorts of meats, fish, cheese, yoghurt, breads, juices, marmelades, etc. Staff is very friendly and willing to help.

| The good news is that service was very accommodating and polite, our room was clean, and the bathroom was roomy and well-equipped. The air conditioning worked well -- a good thing, since Koeln had some very hot weather during our stay. And given that we came during the World Cup, the pricing wasn't outrageous. Overall, we had a good stay. That said, room furnishings were very spare. There was exactly one pillow and blanket per bed, and the pillows could be collapsed to the size of a softball. We asked for extra towels and got exactly one, exactly once. They did give us two extra blankets when we asked, though. (The one-bed/one-blanket rule seems to be universal throughout Germany, at least in our experience.) As I said, the bathroom was nice, but a little short on things like shampoo, etc. (Something that Best Western's US hotels normally provide.) There was a dispenser in the shower, but it ran out the first night, and there was no way to indicate this (and they didn't bother to check). Parking was extra at 10 Euro/day. Most importantly, unlike at every other hotel we had in Germany, BREAKFAST WAS NOT INCLUDED, and as we learned the hard way, very expensive as well, at 15 Euro per person. The hotel was OK overall, but not really a great value.

| Extremely comfortable and reasonably priced hotel, but not centrally located. Great for people with a car who are on the go during the day.

| Hotel was nice service and clean. But food was not so good. But the train station is 500 meters from hotel and Buses too.
