| The hotel is very pretty with a beautiful view. The rooms are comfortable and basic, nothing special. The color scheme throughout the hotel is a bit odd, magenta and purple and hot pink. The restaurants are a bit pricey for the offering. The Portofino was elegant and the pasta was good. I would go there again.

| We just returned from a wonderful trip to Ixtapa, Mexico, and our hotel added greatly to our enjoyment of the trip. The setting is marvelous, as the hotel is built into a hill with fabulous views of the ocean from each room, and amazing privacy from other guests. The spacious balconies with hammocks afforded us gorgeous sunsets every evening and some amazing thunderstorms. The service was superb, the rooms very clean and comfortable, the AC and plumbing worked fine. The staff added little touches to our room every day. The food at the restaurants was adequate, if a little pricey, but well worth the money if you don't feel like going out. Parts of the hotel are a bit dated; however, the architecture is so timeless and classic that it is easy to ignore things like the purple shag carpet at the bar. There are plans for revamping many of the rooms in the near future. Personally, we found the beds comfortable and the decor adequate. The grounds are exquisite. Take the stairs, rather than the elevator so that you can view the ocean from the different levels as you are making your way down to the pool and the beach. Our only complaint was trying to find our way to the hotel on the very first night because of the lack of signs; however, we cherished the fact that it was more secluded and remote than the other hotels in the middle of the town. It really felt like being on a resort, even though it was a very easy drive to town.

| This hotel is old and is in need of a total make over. We were disappointed in the quality of the food in the resturants that were open. The private beach was beautiful and the staff were wonderful - but over all comment would be that the hotel itself is tired looking and the rooms are very small.

| Hotel was wonderful. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Maid service twice a day. Beautiful views from your room and the private beach is fantastic. Pools are also very nice. There is someone available to serve you whereever you are at. Even though the hotel is large, many of the staff greeted our family by name as we walked through the hotel. They are remodeling right now and the redecorated rooms look amazing! I will definitely stay at this hotel again.

| Recently my girlfriend and I spent a few nights at las brisas and we could not ask for a better hotel. I think the best part of the hotel is not the impeccable service, nor the private patio with ocean views in every room, the delicious italian restaurants, the local hospitality but the fact that it has its own private beach.

| Very low key, quiet, relaxing place. The view from the rooms is spectacular. The private beach was wonderful. The food in the hotel is not very tasty, and it is quite expensive. The drinks are expensive.(U.S. prices for food and drinks)We may have visited during a low occupancy season, but the pools (4) were not crowded at all.The location is slightly isolated (other restaurants and shopping about 40 walking minutes away. No activites or entertainment in the hotel. The shops and the "hospitality desk" for scheduling tours are not consistently open.

| We stayed in the hotel the week of Aug. 13th. From the moment we got there, the staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The hotel is in a beautiful location with great views of the ocean. The beach is secluded but at the time it was too dangerous to swim in it for very long unless you're a very good swimmer. It was fun and very relaxing to sit under the palapas and order drinks to cool off. The hotel grounds were well kept. The rooms were a little too humid with not the best air conditioners but it wasn't too bad. My little boy loved to go out into the balcony to lay on the hammock and look at the stars at night. Can't do that out in L.A. and see the same view. The food in the hotel was good and reasonably priced considering we ordered room service a lot. The pools were great to swim in and they were never crowded. Trips to town are a must, you'll find cheaper food. We recommend you visit Isla de Ixtapa to experience Mexico's calm swimming waters. Overall, the hotel experience was great.

| The hotel was good for the price. Every room has ocean view and a terrace which is really enjoyable. Also, there is a very convenient adult-only pool. Food quality was not good and cleanliness of restaurants could have been better. Check out took too long.
