This four-story oceanfront hotel is located in a self-contained resort community that includes other hotels, food and beverage outlets, and a shopping village, as well as a golf course, equestrian center, tennis center, and other sports facilities. Historic downtown Salvador 90 km (56 miles) southwest of the hotel. Guests who arrive at Salvador International Airport can arrange shuttle service to the resort (surcharge) at the Costa do Sauipe desk. The hotel restaurant serves International fare for all meals, the lobby lounge provides ocean views, and lunch and beverages are offered at the poolside/swim-up bar. In addition, 24-hour room service is available. Along with beach sports, onsite recreation is offered in a fitness room, outdoor pool, and spa tub, organized activities are available for children ages 4–12 (surcharge), and guests may also use the recreational facilities and spa services (surcharge) at a neighboring sister property. Meeting space includes banquet facilities, a grand ballroom, and outdoor areas. A computer with high-speed Internet access (surcharge) is offered in the business center, a concierge desk is provided, and parking is free.

Within the resort complex is an 18-hole, ocean-view golf course with a clubhouse, driving range, and pro shop, as well as a tennis center with more than a dozen tennis courts, squash courts, a clubhouse, and pro shop. An equestrian center offers horse riding lessons and ecological trail rides. A manmade lake, volleyball courts, playing fields, and playgrounds are also provided. Between December and February, guests may join scientists on evening excursions to view the endangered sea turtles. The recreational activities listed below are available either on site or near the hotel; fees may apply.
