Features
What to expect: Hidden in a private compound, this tranquil, charming little hotel attracts celebrating couples seeking a restful, memorable holiday. (Children under age 16 are not permitted.) The owners are avid orchid growers, and many flowers are on display in the gardens. Shopping, dining, and entertainment are 1 block away on Duval Street, where bar hoppers do the "Duval Crawl" from place to place every night. Amenity highlights: Within the hotel's central garden are a 36-by-12-foot pool and two private outdoor showers. A second-story sundeck has padded lounge chairs. A complimentary Continental breakfast buffet is served in a breezeway furnished with couches and chairs. An adjacent waterfall plunges into a pool and flows through a mini tropical rain forest. Complimentary wine and cheese is served every evening on little granite-top tables shaded by a gumbo limbo tree. Insider tip: Duval Street is busy and crowded with cars. For a daily fee, the hotel provides parking in a lot 1 block away, but guests can park for free on Key West side streets (not including Simonton Street, on which the hotel is located). Spaces are usually available within a block or two of the hotel.
All guests have the option of a complimentary Continental breakfast buffet served every morning adjacent to a mini rain forest and complimentary wine and cheese served every evening next to the pool. The hotel does not have its own restaurant, but there are several dining options within the surrounding area. Nearby restaurants: Catch Café Café Marquesa Café des Artistes Room service is available from Catch Café during limited hours.

| There is really nothing I could say about this place thats not positive. The only complaints I would have would be better beds and to have the wine and cheese "happy hour" every night, not just friday and saturday. If thats all I can come up with that needs to be "fixed" that should tell what kind of place it is.

| My wife and I were extremely satisfied with the Bed & Breakfast. The Heron House, is on Simonton Street which is a block away from, and runs parallel to Duvall. The days you are going shopping on Duvall street, you will probably be fine walking. If you want to go a little further like to one of the beaches, or a far end of Duvall quickly - then I recommend renting a bike. Willie T's is a great place to eat, and make sure you don't miss going to the butterfly conservatory. My wife convinced me to go - and instead of the boring outing I expected, it was really relaxing and even fun. You can probably skip the beaches, because they aren't particuarly nice - but from what I understand the diving is pretty good. Also, make sure you stop by the Sunset Celebration atleast one night - local artists, and street performers attend.

| This hotel is heaven. It is so calm and relaxing, I wish we could have stayed longer. Everything is in walking distance- great exercise. The breakfast was great. If we wanted excitement we went out and then came back when we had enough. Alfonzo's right on board walk was out of this world! Only bad thing was the A/C smelled musty when ran too long, but room was perfect with just the fans on.
