Features
What to expect: This has long been a haven for entertainment figures and celebrities (mostly rock stars), who cherish the residential ambience and quiet setting near Sunset Strip clubs and some of L.A.'s hottest shopping and restaurants. A renovation completed in 2002 freshened the upscale look with fine architectural materials and understated color schemes. Amenity highlights: A large outdoor pool (main-building area) is popular for swimming, sunbathing, and alfresco dining. A second, smaller pool—located across the gardens, offers extra privacy. The state-of-the-art sound studio with commercial recording capability may be reserved for rental by the day, week, or longer. Insider tip: Not to be confused with the infamous Whiskey A Go Go on Sunset Strip, The Whiskey Bar—located off the hotel’s main lobby—is a private hideway and celebrity hotspot. This small, dimly lit bar and outdoor heated courtyard is reserved exclusively for hotel guests and invited regulars. Some guests stay here just to hang out at the bar.
The Room - This intimate restaurant is decorated in rich reds, purples, and pale green. American/California cuisine is served for all meals, and room service is available 24 hours per day. The Whiskey Bar - Located off the hotel’s lobby, this discreet, dimly lit bar is a popular spot for visiting musicians and other celebrities.

| We stayed at this hotel for a celebrity event, and we are NOT celebrities! With that said, we couldn't have asked for more. The entire staff, from the valet parking attendants to the excellent concierge staff, was outstanding. The food was outstanding, the room was clean and spacious, and we (being web people) especially appreciated the high speed Internet access that was ready to go as soon as we entered the room - no need to trek back down to the desk to check out a router.I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone, and I plan to stay there whenever possible on my trips to LA!
