Around the lagoon is a large pool complex, a playground, and picnic areas equipped with barbecue grills.

Amenity highlights: The pool complex features two good-size, lagoon-style pools, a 12-person spa shaded by a wood gazebo, and a large children's pool containing an arrangement of colored pipes that shower water on swimmers. The children's pool has a sloped, beach-style entry for toddlers. An expansive sundeck furnished with green umbrellas offers ample sunning opportunities.

A complimentary Continental breakfast is provided each morning.

The hotel does not have its own restaurant, but there are several dining options within the surrounding area.

This was a nice place to stay. We had a one bedroom and it was a lot of space for the money. Great pool area. The place was a little hard to find, but it is near lots of restaurants and shopping. If you are not interested in the timeshare info, just tell them and you will not be bother.

This is a great family spot. They provide a schedule of activities for the small children that are very inexpensive or free for all to enjoy. Great Tiki Bar for the adults and the food by the pool is very good. Location is close to the parks and a few steps away from the main road where you will find all you need. The ponderosa, Pollo Tropical, Latin Buffet and italian restaurant are all within walking distance.

This resort is really good for people on an extended stay. It is like an apartment. I was able to cook dinner each night. The staff provided extra soap for dish washing etc. I did not find the washer/dryer combo helpful because I never could get even the tiniest load dry with it. There is also no water filtration system so the water does smell rather sulfuric. And the room door opens to the outside, if that is an issue. But overall the room was clean, convenient, and pretty comfortable.

My girlfriend Joana and I stayed at the Oak Plantation Resort for 2 weeks. The hotel is very well located (US192 near Walmart Supercenter, and Medieval Times). If you wish to save money and stay at a very confortable hotel, don't think twice. The rooms is clean and smells good! The pool area is great, the jacuzzi stays open until 1 am, which is rare in the USA. There are many restaurants near such as Tony Romas,Taco Bell,Ponderosa Steakhouse,Outback Steakhouse,Denny's,Wendy's, Burger King,Red Lobster, KFC. I also have to mention that a Housekeeper left a yogurt at our room! hehehe
