| The hotel is situated in a great spot. The rooms are great, but sadly in need of refurbishing!

| I have had one of the worst experiences ever with this hotel. The service was horrible and it was as if it was a chore to do the slightest thing for me. I had even asked for a yellow pages, which our room was absent of, and the clerks said they didn't have one they let guests use. The rooms were connected by two flimsy doors and several times I would hear children, obviously unattended, playing at the door. To say the least I would not under any circumstances go back to this hotel. In hindsight I should have gone with a more expensive hotel and perhaps the trip would have been much more relaxing.

| Although the staff was very courteous, the walls were paper thin. You could hear people 4 floors down, walking outside talking. The toilet backed up and the sink barely drained. Room cleanliness was good.

| Good value for staying across the street from the beach. Rooms do not block out noise and the beds are not very comfortable for a good night's sleep. Can't complain of service as the front desk people were accommodating and nice.

| The outside of this hotel is a little rundown looking. If I just looked at it from the outside I probably would have never stayed there. However, the rooms are very large and very clean. The location to the beach is very convenient - just across the street. The pool was nicely kept up. This hotel is definitely not fancy, but it is very clean and a good value for the location. I would stay there again.

| The beds were standard size, and one of them had an iron bar sticking out from beneath so that I scratched my ankle on the sharp edge twice. There was only one washcloth the first night, no shampoo (I don't know whether that was promised.), too few towels. There was no ice bucket in the room, so I had to get one from the front desk. The coffee was at the front desk only. The swimming pool was well maintained and very clean and convenient. The hotel was conveniently located near the beach, and the price was acceptable. The room, however, was not well sound-proofed so that we were awakened one or more times each night by loud noises from outside.

| For the the budget minded people Red Roof is a nice, clean place to stay. No frills. The room did not have a hair dryer, so I recommend you to bring your own and clothes hangers. However, my room did come with a mini fridge. The beach is directly across the street and convenient places to eat within walking distance. THe staff are friendly and helpful. Overall, I would come back to Red Roof Clearwater.
