Features
What to expect: During the week, guests are primarily business travelers. On weekends, vacationers take advantage of the hotel's proximity to Coconut Grove's nightlife and its easy access to downtown Miami, Coral Gables, and Miami Beach. The hotel's Italian Renaissance style is inspired by nearby Villa Vizcaya, a lavish mansion built in the early 1900s and surrounded by formal gardens. Amenity highlights: The hotel caters to both business travelers and vacationers, putting a premium on service from the moment guests enter the cathedral-like lobby, with its towering palms and view of the courtyard waterfall. Guests exercise in the 5,000-square-foot fitness center and take classes such as yoga and Pilates, or swim in the small outdoor pool. The boutique spa offers a menu of massages and signature body and facial treatments. For meetings and events, the hotel has 30,000 square feet of function space. Insider tip: The hotel is located 2 blocks from CocoWalk, an indoor-outdoor shopping, dining, and entertainment center in the heart of Coconut Grove. CocoWalk is built around an open courtyard full of vendors' carts and has several outdoor cafés, a multiplex, sidewalk entertainers, and 30 stores and restaurants. It's a lively destination well into the night.
Bizcaya Grill - Rich wood, Italian marble, Biedermeier furnishings, and silk damask accents create an intimate ambience at this upscale restaurant. The Bizcaya Grill serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily, and brunch on Sundays. The steak house-style cuisine has a European bistro influence—in addition to steak and chicken, dinner entrées include several grilled fish dishes. Sophisticated, casual attire is recommended. The restaurant has a private dining room that accommodates up to 16 people. The Lounge - Located in the hotel's lobby, The Lounge serves cocktails, afternoon tea, and light fare. The lobby offers plenty of comfortable couches and chairs and overlooks the courtyard waterfall. Open midday until late evening, with live piano and Spanish guitar music every night.

| It is a Ritz-Carlton, so this review isn't even really needed. The staff was fantastic - the front desk, the valet parking (very speedy!), and the room cleaning people. It's a short walk to the heart of Coconut Grove (shops, food, nightlife), but so close that you feel you're in the middle of it. Room was great - HUGE bathroom!

| What a lovely hotel! Although I absolutely LOVE South Beach, I like the fact that I can get away from all the "mayhem" and rest my head 10 minutes away in lovely, quaint Coconut Grove. The Ritz Carlton there provided all the luxurious amenities that you'd expect - and then some. The service was prompt and superb! I've found my home away from home! A beautiful, first-class hotel!

| We had, end-to-end, a great stay. The service is warm and personable, no request is too big or small. Rooms are immaculate at the beginning of your stay and are cleaned twice daily. All guests are treated well. Tip generously and be treated regally.

| We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was very nice and friendly. The hotel is very beautiful! It was always very comforting coming back to the hotel("home") after a day full of activities... The Ritz-Carlton experience is always good! We stayed at the Ritz-Carlton in New Orleans in March, and intended to have a similar relaxing experience.

| We were in Miami for Christmas shopping so we only used the hotel as a place to sleep and we didn't use any of the hotel's amenities. The service was excellent and our room was very nice. We overlooked the courtyard and pool area but most of the gardens had been destroyed by the hurricanes this year. Our only real complaint was that we both found the bed very uncomfortable...we were exhausted at night and fell asleep but we would both wake-up early with backaches. We did use the hotel restaurant and as other reviewers have said, it is a bit expensive but the food and service was very good. We enjoyed breakfast there the most although we didn't get a chance to have dinner there.

| This hotel was the perfect business hotel for the Miami area. The interior was luxurious, the food and room service great, and the bar scene really enjoyable. The only downside was the pool which did not have the usual five star deck chairs, towels or other amenities. If you plan to spend a lot of time at the pool this would not be the right hotel for you!
