| My husband and I were not impressed with the place but you get what you pay for. It would be okay if you just needed a place to sleep but if you have a family, I would not recommend this place. As soon as we checked in, we went to our rooms and turned on our AC but that didn't work well. We called the front desk and was told there was nothing they can do because all the rooms were booked. They never offerred us a fan to help us. So we went swimming in the pool and found a dozen worms in the pool on the bottom of the floor. Besides that the pool has cracks wide and sharp, not safe for the kids. After notifying the front desk person, he was very defensive and said it was the pool cleaning's fault for not cleaning but would have the pool cleaning service out there to clean it but saw the hotel maids cleaning the pool shortly after. He never apologized for any inconvienence. The rooms were clean but the carpet was sticky. In the bathroom, there was a large hole by the shower head. there continental breakfast consist of coffee, milk, some kind of an orange drink, cereal and hard donuts. I would not recommend this place for a family.

| The hotel is pretty far out of the way and there we saw no other guests in the hotel. Still, they put us in the worst room. The carpet was worn and didn't appear very clean. The bedspread had something dried and crusty on it (I don't think it was THAT, but it was gross). And, on 4th of July, the A/C was out. The room was hot and when we came back to it late at night, we were too tired to hassle getting another. Also, the golf course is overgrown and unplayable and the "continental breakfast" was a joke: cold cereal and Sunny D. The checout was fast but unfriendly. The only thing the clerk said was "room number?" and "Bye".

| The trip to Hotel California was ok. We had trouble finding it because mapquest forgot to give us the last street, however upon our arrival we weren't sure that it was infact Hotel California because there was no signage in sight. The room was a bit outdated but comfortable enough for the price we paid. The one complaint i did have was the fact that there was no iron in the room. So my boyfriend went up to the front desk to ask for one at 11 pm at night because we had a graduation to attend to the following morning at 7am. However he was told that the housekeeping lady called in sick so she couldn't give us one until 8am the next morning. After my boyfriend and several other people complained the lady in the front desk finally gave in because my boyfriend came back with an iron. And because the housekeeper called in sick we also couldnt get any fresh towels so we had to throw them in the dryer for a little bit. Other than the fact that the housekeeper got sick the same night we stayed there, the hotel was great to stay in for the price we paid, and would probably go back again if i was on the same low budget i had for this trip. Did I forget to mention that they do have a nice pool area :)

| If you like friendly hotel staff, a fresh smelling room, sparkling sinks and showers, and soft plush carpet beneath your weary feet...Then don't stay here! On your way, you will pass many fine hotels (all of which you will later regret not booking). You will pull up to a desolate building with tarps hanging on the sides of it that read "Hotel California" (my advice to you at this point would be to turn around and don't look back, but maybe you're the optimistic type). After being "greeted" in the lobby by an unfriendly old woman at the front desk who, at 3:00 pm will insist that she cannot get you anything else for your room (ie, pillows and towels) because the maids have left for the day, it's off to...gulp...your room. If you do decide to open the door, you are brave. As the door slowly closes, the smell of mold will creep up your nostrils. Don't try to turn back now, you're stuck, literally! Your feet will more than likely stick to the moldy purple carpet. Still feeling a hint of optimism? Then go check out the bathroom. The toilets are dingy, but not filthy (proof that the maids may have been there at some point during the week), but the white tile on the floors are surrounded with goldish mold stains. The showers were caked around the perimeter with a thick, slimy black layer of mold. The curtains were slimy. The plus side is that they give you neutrogena shampoo and lotion, but why would you want to shower here? I would never in a million years do it again!

| I never would have believed the other reviews about friendliness until I stayed here. Not only was it hard to find. The only way back to it is about a mile long goose chase. We always like to have 2 towels and two pillows apiece when we stay somewhere. When I went to the desk to ask for them a very unfriendly woman informed me that I would not be able to get them until in the morning when the maids got there. I have never heard of a place that the night staff didnt have access to those types of amenities. I would stay again only because it is the cheapest place in town that is on Expedia.

| The room was exceptionally large! However, the setup of the furniture did not take advantage this fact and subsequently, it left one with the feeling that furniture was missing or you were sleeping in a barn. There also seemed to be insufficient parking close to the rooms. I had to park 100+ hundred yards away from the nearest staircase to get to my room at night. Not too big a deal but clearly the room to parking space ratio was miscalculated.

| Checking in was a breeze. They already had my key and contract ready for me to sign. The room was great for the price. The carpet seems clean, but don't wear white socks without using slippers. Overall I would definitely come back and use this hotel during my next business trip.

| This hotel has easy freeway access, Grounds and Pool are absolutely beautiful. Only change I would recommend is upgrading their contiental breakfast. Denny's and IHOP are only a few blocks away. We will definately stay here again.
