    Kona Coast Resort Amenities
This Big Island resort sits among 21 acres of tropical gardens, just inland from the Pacific at Keauhou Bay. The resort is five miles south of Kailua-Kona, and the calm waters of the Kona Coast are within a half mile of the resort.

Recreational facilities include two outdoor swimming pools and a children’s pool, three spa tubs, a dry sauna, and an exercise room. Other options include tennis courts, a three-mile running track, sand volleyball, shuffleboard, basketball, two playgrounds, and a putting green.

An on-site activity center provides a weekly program of special events and supplies water-sports equipment. Many activities are offered for children, and in-room child care can also be arranged. Food and drinks at Sea Shell Point restaurant are served indoors and out, or guests can use one of the several barbecues located throughout the resort.

    Recreation
The resort has two adult pools and a children’s pool, three spa tubs, and a dry sauna. An exercise center with locker rooms and showers is located in the main pool complex. Also on site are a three mile jogging track with exercise stations, sand volleyball court, tennis courts, shuffleboard courts, and a basketball hoop. A putting green is also on site, and guests have access to the adjacent Oceanside Golf Course of the Kona Country Club.

The Kona Coast is renowned for its white and black sand beaches as well as excellent diving and deep sea fishing in the calm offshore waters. The nearest beach to the resort, less than half a mile west, is dark and rocky, better for snorkeling than sunbathing. Sandy beaches are about two miles away. Fishing and sailing charters, equipment rentals, and adventure and sightseeing tours are available through the activity desk or through marinas and shops in Kailua-Kona.

The recreational activities listed below are available either on site or near the hotel; fees may apply.

    Features
Sea Shell Point - This restaurant and bar serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily in a casual, indoor/outdoor setting.

They aren't located on the beach and we had to drive to all locations. However, the location is close to just about anywhere you want to go. Excellent view of the Ocean, big condo, small but nice pools (there are two),... A shopping mall is across from the complex which is very convenient. It was relaxing to have our own home and not just a hotel room. Living room, dining room, full kitchen, washer/dryer,... You can have breakfast with your family at your leisure, make your meals, wash your clothes, etc. If you want a resort with resort accommodations there are better. If you want a home to come home to, this is the place.

My family of four stayed in a one bedroom condo but the place felt spacious. There is a King size bed in the bedroom and a queen size sofa bed in the living room. The condo is a short drive to the busy Kona downtown but far away from the noise and crowds. The condo is very clean and well kept. This hotel is being sold also as time share so they have to keep the place in top share. We will definitely consider going back there again. Best accomodation for the money we paid for in the area. Excellent place for families with children.

Nice setting and good location. Friendly staff. Good, but unobtrusive shopping center within easy walking distance for groceries, casual dining, drug store and local farmer's market on Sats. Close to parks with swimming/snorkeling/kyaking access (kids can easily walk) but no direct access to ocean at resort. Pools OK, but not huge.

My wife and I stayed in a 1 bedroom 2 bath unit with a full size kitchen. This is a very nice hotel, very well maintained and clean. This hotel doesn't have beach access (but a very nice view of the waves and the golf course). On the plus side it is conviently located near a small shopping center, and its just a short drive to town and/or one of the local beaches. Onsite restaurant was decent but has limited hours (8-8). I would definately stay here again.

This was a nicely furnished quiet condo. The one bedroom model had two bathrooms, the kitchen had everything you need. The pools and hot tubs were not crowded and overall this is a great place to relax. It is on the south end of Kona, a less crowded area but still centrally located! There is a shopping mall within walking distance that has good places to eat. Not to be missed is Kenichi's Sushi - try the Austin roll!

Kitchen and dining table.Staff and service marginal - especially housekeeping. Don't expect well trained or coordinated staff. But overall, good value for the dollar.
