| If you don't mind walking/driving to the beach ... this is the place to stay at Orient Bay!!! The rooms are actually villas sorrounded by beautiful plants which give a sense of privacy and relaxation. I loved the private balcony and the bed canopy (very romantic!). Service was excellent from Check-in to Check-out. Full breakfast was included - tropical fruits, yogurt, boiled eggs and variety of coffee and danishes! Cleanliness (floors) was the only thing I regret, but anything else is simply perfect! I will definitely come back again. About St.Marteen, just make sure you don't leave ANYTHING inside your car, they will steal from you and you won't even noticed, they leave your car locked again. Nevertheless, this is France in the Caribbean!

| I went with my ten-year-old son. When we walked in our room we both said "Wow". The place is so cute and private. It was like a little designers apartment. We will always stay here when whenever we visit St. Martin.

| Recently spent 5 days at La Plantation. Found the rooms to be spacious and private and the staff to be very pleasant. The continental breakfast at the restaurant was by far the best complimentary conintental breakfast that I've had---the French love their food! Enjoyed staying in French St. Martin but found the rental car useful to visit the Dutch side where one can find more nightlife. This hotel is smaler...not at all a large resort...but would recommend to anyone who might appreciate getting off the "beaten path" in St. Martin.

| We felt like we had our own private villa. One draw back was the bed. The king bed had two twins set together which left a ridge in the middle.

| La Plantation is a very pleasant small hotel just a short walk from the bustle of the beach. Lodgings are in several small villas with very large, airy rooms, each having kitchens and separate sitting areas. Our party was composed of two teenagers, who could safely roam to town and beach (and loved this vacation over all others); two elderly who particularly enjoyed the breeze-cooled, large veranda with garden and view of the Atlantic within a short walk of the restaurant and continental breakfast; and a middle aged couple (my wife and me). We had an entire villa composed of two large rooms connecting with a central suite, all decorated in charming island style. Orient Beach is great fun for water sports, dining, bars and people watching, with a good mix of friendly people.

| We enjoyed our stay @ La Plantation. It was our first trip to St.Martin, and most of what people told us about visiting the French West Indies was true. It is very French, and by this, people mean "Continental." If you have ever traveled in Europe, you have a better idea of what to expect. The hotel was more like a bed and breakfast. It is not a large resort, which we loved. The studio w/ kitchenette was very spacious, and there were fresh flowers throughout our room on arrival. The little porch off of the room was a relaxing plac to sit in the afternoon, w/ table and chairs. The room was comfortable, w/ a few rough edges, but nothing really important missing. Breakfast was convenient, simple. The staff was very helpful, and the service was very good. It is a lovely, smaller hotel. We are already planning to go again, and will surely stay @ La Plantation.

| This was my second stay and both my wife and I could not have been happier. Ideal for those looking for a relaxing vacation. Close enough to walk to the beach, restaurants, and small markets. Also an easy drive to Grande Case and Marigot. Great breakfast provided and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
