What to expect: The drive through the hills and up the small mountain to this castle hotel creates a keen sense of anticipation. Many guests celebrate an anniversary, honeymoon, or romantic vacation here, but business meetings are also popular. The staff is multilingual and accommodating. This is the place for seasoned travelers who want to relax in the countryside away from city noise. Amenity highlights: Guests can relax in one of the numerous fireside lounges, whose ancient stone walls are decorated with oil paintings and tapestries. The garden, set on top of a cliff, overlooks foothills and the Tiber Valley and is filled with statues, benches, fountains, flowers, hedges, and a large lawn. There's a hiking trail winding down the hill and back, plus a pool with a retractable plastic dome for use in cooler weather. The beauty center offers massage, tanning, and facial treatments. Complimentary breakfast is included in the room fare. Insider tip: The castle is an art gallery of sorts, showcasing oil paintings and original frescoes. Artifacts from the medieval period—armor, weapons, and dishes—are displayed in the castle lounges.
Ristorante Castello Orsini - Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served in a long room—complete with ancient ovens—that once functioned as the castle’s kitchen. The ever-changing menu is Italian and includes fresh pasta and lots of herbs. Banquets and receptions are held in two other dining rooms that are not used on a daily basis.

| Very unique experience, staying in a castle. The views from the hotel are fabulous. Located in a small town north of Rome. I wouldn't think it would be a convenient location to use if planning on exploring Rome Central for several days. However, for day trips to surrounding areas, it was very nice. Located about 15 minutes from the autostrada.
