Features
What to expect: The hotel is part of the Depot complex, which features a restored 1899 railway station as its centerpiece. Monday through Thursday, the hotel is busy with business travelers drawn to meetings in the elegantly restored Great Hall, which once served as the Depot's reception area. On weekends, when the hotel's water park is open, families take over. Minnesota Vikings and Twins fans flock to the hotel because of its proximity to the Metrodome. Amenity highlights: Among the building's highlights are an indoor water park and seasonal ice rink, housed in a restored, glass-enclosed train shed. The complex is located in Minneapolis' historic milling district, where restored mill buildings now house offices and lofts. Insider tip: The depot, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is just a portion of the complex, and was originally called the Milwaukee Road Depot. The Renaissance Revival-style building designed by Charles Frost served customers from 1899 to 1971. Scattered throughout the building are glass cases containing historic mementos from the Milwaukee Road railroad.
Charley's Restaurant - Casual spot located across the lobby from the front desk. Guests enjoy breakfast, panini sandwiches, and comfort food such as meatloaf and chicken stew. Dinner fare consists of steaks, seafood, and pasta. Stone Arch Bar - At the rear of the lobby, this dark wood-paneled bar serves wine, beer, cocktails, and Charley's full menu, and features a floor-to-ceiling fireplace. Patio service is also available.

| We didn't realize what a large water park is at the hotel! It's got a huge whirlpool for adults and other pools for other ages. Very nice. The walk to the Metrodome to see the Twins was pleasant and there's good coffee next door. The patio at the hotel is also surprising for inside the city. Our only complaints were that the sound proofing could have been better between rooms and there could have been more mirrors for getting ready in the morning. Overall, a surprisingly nice stay!

| The hotel itself has a ice skating rink, and a swin park. Not too far away if the Minnesota Viking Metrodome. We were not there long enough to enjoy these but they looked like fun.

| The cafe, restaurant, and bar atmosphere was very nice. The food at the restaurant was also above par. It was very convenient to the federal building and other office buildings. Seemed to be in a somewhat trendy/warehouse district. Seemed safe.
